I don’t think it’s too crazy when you consider larger cities tend to vote Democrat and Georgia has the Atlanta metro area. Even Alabama tends to vote around 65/35 with only a smaller metro area (Birmingham).

I think that Loeffler might lose. She's just a terrible candidate from what I've seen. I don't see Perdue losing, though.

Frankly, I am surprised. Let me edit this: astounded, actually. I grew up here. Most of the rural parts are as culturally and socially retarded as they were back in the 1960's. And despite an extraordinary effort on the part of who is going to probably be the next gov. of GA, Stacey Abrams, the margin was razor thin.

So, I guess we can conclude that the consequences of the 2016 general election were the Repub. loss of the Presidency, House and Senate by 2020.

Seems the two Trump party candidates are approaching Trump % levels of support in deep red counties but turnout is nothing special and most of the votes left are coming from blue areas and black turnout has been excellent.

So who is to blame if Perdue and Loeffler lose the election today? You could blame Trump, or maybe the nutjobs suggesting that Republican voters boycott the election, but my vote goes to Mitch McConnell. Ossoff and Warnock have made it clear that they will vote for additional stimulus checks for Georgians and Americans. McConnell shot down giving anyone any additional stimulus. Voters aren't all stupid, and they not only like getting free money from the government, many of them need it right now because of economic hardships due to the pandemic. I do sincerely hope that he cost himself the majority leaders job.

While Stacey Abrams is obviously the main contributor, I think that you're not giving enough credit to Donald Trump. He probably did just enough to make sure that the D candidates edge out the Republican candidates. Nobody did more than him to depress the Republican vote and lower Republican turnout by making the R voters lose faith in the democratic process and believe that the election is rigged. He created a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Since Nov 3, Trump has lost his job, 60 court cases, 2 Senate seats and had a veto overridden. I’m not accustomed to this much good news. I’m guessing we’ll see another round of recounts no matter the margin with these clowns. Probably a dozen lawsuits as well. If a recount is needed, it shouldn’t take longer than a week. If all goes well this should be certified by the beginning of the next week at the latest. The military has until Friday for the votes to arrive, they should be counted within a few hours. McConnell is still Majority Leader until Ossoff is seated because the Senate will be 50-49 Republican until then. If there is a recount, he will be able to stall cabinet appointments. I won’t be one bit surprised if Loser Donald orders someone, ANYONE?, by noon on 1/7, to arrest Raffensperger, Kemp and maybe Pence.
