DeKalb about to report 171,000 early in person votes at any moment and it should be enough to put both dems ahead again if it breaks the normal 80-20 split.

The stock market was hopeful that "Moscow Mitch" (as you guys love calling him) was going to block any corporate tax increases or Wall St reforms from getting passed in the Senate. A split Congress was better for them.
Why would the markets value that over the vastly larger stimulus spending Biden will be able to enact with a democratic Congress?

Not only that but with unified government we are spared the paralyzing gridlock we have had for most of the last decade and it’s likely we will get a much more effective virus response.

People look at the markets and try to justify their own preferred outcomes with them when really you might as well be flipping coins or consulting your horoscope.

Market futures turned even more negative so you guys are probably right that the Dems are going to win.
Ooooh scary. I remember election night 2016 when they were down over 1000 points with Trump leading. Opened up the next day In the green.

Youre assuming far too much here. Trust me.

I was just BSing about the market futures. I have no clue about short term market movements. Market is going to do what market is going to do. Premarket is crapshoot anyway especially this early in the night. Pajama traders operate on their own terms.

I know. I was just bullshitting. But everyone seemed to believe me for some reason.

Because the remaining votes to be counted are in overwhelmingly democratic areas. NYT now putting Warnock at over 90% probability of victory and the guy who made the model says that’s too conservative.
I can hear it now if it plays out that way.

One minute the Republicans were ahead and then they weren't! LIB counties kept manufacturing votes until they knew how many they needed! Did you see the lizard people delivering the special Dominion voting machines?!? The feeds went fuzzy for a second and suddenly the Democrats WON! Stop the STEAL!

Of if the Republicans win:

This election was totally good. But somehow the Dems rigged the presidential race only for Biden.

We’re at the point, again, where Democrats put their hopes on one miracle to happen. Face it folks, for Democrats it didn’t turn out this time. And again, all that Democrats can do is talk about how close this election was and Democrats making headway election after election yet never enough to turn the tide. So what’s next? 2022. All hopes wil be on 2022. 2022, where Democrats will fall short again. After the Republican blowout tonight, tomorrow is going to be very difficult day for Joe Biden. Republicans will double down to deny Joe Biden.

Looks like a done deal to me. More government dysfunction ftw/eye roll.

I hope everyone gets what they voted for.

What? It's not a done deal, but things are looking pretty good for the Dems right now.

What are you guys looking at?

"Republicans have taken a narrow lead in the tabulated vote, but the Democrats are clear favorites in both races. The overwhelming majority of remaining votes are in the Atlanta metro area, and while the race remains competitive, there's no indication that the Republicans are poised to outperform expectations. The big Democratic vote left: the DeKalb County early vote. We expect these 170,000 votes to break for Democrats by an 85-15 margin."

I hate to say it but Democrats simply had two bad candidates here. Ossoff for me was too wimpy appearing, and Warnock wasn’t that middle class white American that apparently Georgians want. What Democrats needed were two John Wayne types toting guns and questioning climate change. Then, Democrats might have had a chance.
