I've heard similar stories about Gameve.com, alot of other people have no problem with them or this place at the same time but it is definately something to consider. That aside I chanced it anyways, at this price its a hard deal to pass up. Thanks OP no matter how it turns out!

as far as the store goes, I've purchased from them and never had any trouble, but if GW will goto great lengths to cancel a good deal, I assume it's open to all online retailers

i had good experiences with gameve.com. but then again i ordered a mobo, so i don't really know if its been opened

I was going to order the 3500+ from these guys since they are the cheapest on the net, but according to the reseller ratings they don't update when items are in stock:

And that they charge in advance, not when the item ships. Both those qualities make me want to stay away.

I haven't had any notices sent to me... Those of you that did, did you do the extra fee for rush orders? and/or next day air shipping? I didn't pay extra for rush, and just 3 day select shipping...

Exactly what happened to me. Btw, I got the backorder email. Too bad, I sorta hate to use extra PCI slots. If this doesn't go through, I'll probably have to wait out another product line.

I haven't received a notice either, just a confirmation of the order. Like you I didn't pay the extra fee for rushing the order (it's on back-order, so it seemed kind of pointless to me) and I also chose the 3-day Select shipping.

I had the standard shipping without rush order too, and I got the email notifying me of its backorder status.

My invoice still states it's an Ultra though.

Yup, mine still says Ultra too! I am getting an Ultra or cancelling the order!

I guess they're just updating their page to reflect the unavailability of the Ultra cards, and raising the GT prices from $424 to $432.

I've ordered items from them a couple of times in the past with no problems, but I was holding my breath. Items arrived quickly and were at excellent prices.

Well, I decided to cancel my order. I really want to get my system together this weekend, and it looks as if this may never come through, or if it does, everyone will be getting GT's. Good luck to all of you who are sticking with it!

I just got an e-mail before I could cancel stating my order had been canceled anyway, here's what it looked like:

I am sick of the BS selling tactics that online vendors are using to generate quick sales. What gives BuyXG the right to cancel you order because it "won't become available for a long time...". What if I wanted to wait? At least they could have had the decency to say that there was a listing/pricing error instead of sending out a BS email response.

BuyXG spammed the Hot Deals forum a while back, and it pissed a lot of folks off. Now that they've resorted to low-class selling tactics it would be wise to avoid them at all costs. I know I will.........

Great, at least now I know BuyXG has the same customer service as Gateway. Excuse is almost word for word on what Gateway gave me about the X800 XT. Sorry no waiting for you. At least BuyXG sent emails out next day as opposed to 2 months..

Well, this blows, but I guess it does answer the question. I can't wait to see that they actually have some ultras in stock in a few days and just are cancelling all the orders cause they made a price mistake. Is there anything the consumer can do to fight this BS? This has me really PO'd.

Sorry for bringing this BS to everyone's attention and spreading the word on this crap deal.....

Online vendors seem to be able to get away with quite few things. If you go into B&amp;M and find a price mistake they have to honor the price, online they give you the bs that comes with click through contracts. You click this button and we can basically do what we want.

I don't think they shipped any of these.... I got my order in before I even posted the deal here and I got the same cancellation notice today.

I wonder if they know how many people saw this post and now know not to deal with this company. Count me as 1.

Well, this isn't a big company like gateway or dell that can afford to give out 100s of cards for way under MSRP, they are sure going to try to get out of it... They are in the business to make money, not friends. I never thought I was going to get an ultra, I figured at least they'd offer something like a coupon... No biggie, my o/c'd 5900 should play hl2 just fine I hope...
