Gainward or Leadtek GF4 Ti4400?

I doubt that's a Ti4400 card.

I have yet to see any significant gains from either the Leadtek or Gainward.

In fact I have yet to see a reviewer o/c the Gainward or Leadtek card over what a Visiontek, MSI/PNY, or any other brand can do.

Everybody saying they can get 4600 speeds out of the 4400 is nothing new.

ALL the cores are the same- All the memory is the same.

The only difference is heatsink design. Which has yet to show any improved gains.

I run at 315/660 with no problems, no xtra heatsinks, barely any cooling in the case, with a cheap card.

gamepc is biased.... it's show that leadtek beat all the card with the highest overclock, but they do not bench with the overclock speed..a a big bullshit! from gamepc

As fot it not overclocking well OH PLEASE I ran mine at 315 core 740 memory just a few minutes ago and it went right through 3DMark2001SE with no sweat. Right now its at 315 720 just to be on the safe side. Also Tom ran one at 335 775 with an added fan on it. Feel free to say Tom is on crack cause most say that. LOL

Has anyone tried to remove the dust screens from their Leadtek fans to see if noise drops?

Nah its not loud trust me. Anyone that gets the card and can hear the HSF fans over any other fan in the computer must be on something. First thing I thought was wow its going to be loud but I hear my 92mm fan blowing over it.

Another advantage of the Leadtek is with that huge heatsink you might be able to unplug one fan and maybe slide the other over toward the center. Too bad the hardware monitoring models aren't out yet so we could see what happens to the temps.

From my experience (I've used a Gainward, Leadtek, Visiontek, PNY, Abit, and MSI GeForce4 Ti4600 in my friend's system) they all perform within 10% of eachother. Overclocking is more luck of the draw than anything so don't expect the $465 Leadtek to clock higher than the $377 Visiontek or PNY.

My Leadtek 4600 was $399 plus $12.00 shipping it came out less then my PNY I had cause of no sales tax.
