Hi,

I would just like to get your opinion about this gpu. Is it worth it to buy this card when i have a palit 980 jetstream? Not the super version though.

Does this card oc higher than the other cards on the market or should I stay on my current card?

I would be spending an additional $150 if i sold my gpu and get this baby.

Is it worth the hussle?

Are you getting bottleneck on something with your card? If not, I hardly see a good reason to upgrade a GTX 980...

If I can afford the a 980, I would get this model just for the white PCB and cooler.

as far as performance goes, it suppose to be Galaxy's version of the EVGA classified or ROG Matrix cards.

Or wait a month and half for Titan X and get 50% more performance for the price of SLI.

This. If you have $150.00 burning a hole in your pocked just donate it to a worthy charity. I don't think it's worth wasting on "maybe" getting a better overclock - for a performance difference you're not going to notice anyway.

I "did that" once last year; can't say I regretted it, but it was ALMOST more frivolous than selling one 980 card to get another. I'll qualify this to say I'm less familiar with the thermal aspects of vid overclocking, but do you really think -- if ,1,500 Mhz and stock voltage only heats up to 57C (if you're doin' it right) -- that water-cooling will make all that difference? Am I misguided -- if I understood there's a 110% limit on power-consumption with these cards?

Oh. I'm sorry. I've got the 970. The 980 would likely be different, if only a little . . .

I see. hmmmm. I am running my Palit GTX 980 Jetstream at 1506 under 1.3v already with modded bios as if I just use stock voltage, max OC is just 1433 which is much much worse than a reference 980 and it really sucks that's why I modded and flashed the bios.

If you guys think that it would just be like a waste of money then I would not proceed with the sidegrade. I'm officially an addict.

Better off keeping the $150 and later selling your current 980 before jumping on a 380x or big maxwell.

AMD is not an option to me anymore after I had issues with the cypress before both hardware and software so I am not going back to red.
