Cool as a cucumber. And actually the battery seems to be lasting a little longer. Of course that could be related to the software update issued right after I got it.

My replacement has been fine. Doesnt overheat at all. Then again, my supposed "bad" note7 didnt overheat at all ever. I still don't leave the replacement plugged in at night. Maybe the Note 8 and S8 will bring back removable batteries. Would have save sammy so much time, trouble and $$$.

Too AOSP-ey for me. Makes me wonder if Samsung is going to change the batt icon in Good Lock for Note7s when they re-release it for Note7s.

AT&T did this right. I enjoyed an S7 edge for the past few weeks. Today finally updated to a new Note 7. Blue this time just to change it up.

At first I had a white battery icon but if course after the update it switched to green. Don't mind it at all, actually kind of like it.

I'm betting it's more like the same issues every model of phone has, in varying percentages, but this particular one is under the microscope.

$#@$@! i am so disappointed at how AT&T is handling this recall.

They have no wait list.
You need to call the store and find out if they have the one you want in inventory.
You need to then rush over to that store like a madman on black friday, to make sure no one can get your replacement.

They wont even offer you a loaner.
They tell you to come back when they got it in stock.

I litterally raged inside the store telling them fine... if my phone blows up, expect a law suit on biblical porportion as i will sue both AT&T and Samsung.

The manager came running out appologizing saying its because FedEX + UPS refuse to ship/send back faulty note 7's for replacement, and all sorts of other appologies..
He also said he could swap the phone for a edge S7.

I want my replacement Note... not a Frigging S7.
AT&T... Sigh... im actually hoping this thing blows up because i have a recorded video at how unhelpful they are at handling this recall.

For the love of all that's holy. I might have to just switch to a S7 edge, which sucks because I love the s-pen. It's not worth my phone burning my junk off or something though.

Wow, the Note 7 is done. Hell, the Note series may be done as well. Hell, Galaxy phones may be done, at least for me. Other than the hassle of replacing my timebomb of a Note 7, my S7 Edge has a defective screen and is on backorder from tmobile. I am soooo done with the Galaxies. Maybe.

Note 7 owners should demand for their money back, the Note 7 is pretty much an unmitigated disaster & ticking timebomb whether you replaced it or not, when even the replacements are catching fire.

Stick a fork in it, the Note 7's image is completely destroyed now (and deservedly so since Samsung clearly didn't properly fix it).

Good timing for the Pixel if Google is smart about it.

I walked into an AT&T store, inquired about the process, came back the next day (after backing up my N7) walked out with a loaner S7 edge. Used it a few weeks, walked in on my lunch break and walked out with a new Note 7.

Tell the management to look up AT&T's policies if they don't know them- they are providing loaner phones, then replacing them when they have Note 7's. They aren't supposed to send you out of the store with a recalled Note 7.

Normally, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, with being damaged, but this was very public, evacuating a plane, etc.

If the owner isn't being honest, it's federal charges since a passenger plane was involved.

And Samsung is being tone deaf about it... "There is no evidence that this incident is related to the new Note7. We are working with the authorities and Southwest now to recover the device and confirm the cause.”

I'm not quite sure that the Note 7's public image is done for, but it's at least on thin ice. One more fiery wreck and you'll see permanent bans all over the place.

The problem for Samsung is that all phones are damaged fairly regularly, and catch on fire because of the nature of lithium batteries, we'll see and hear lots more about exploding Note 7's.

Chinese consumers and the Chinese gov are already pissed their phones weren't recalled, this won't help.

All phones do this. The spotlight is on the Note 7 specifically, and Samsung in general. This happens all the time, but because it's a Note 7, it's going to be blown way the fuck out of proportion.

Yes, in fact, they will. Any phone you want. No reason to be walking out with a recalled N7 if you've backed it up and are ready to exchange it. A loaner for however long until they come up with more new N7's isn't the end of the world.
