No idea what the long term sales will look like, I don't really care.Nightmare scenario is an understatement. This has gone from people praising the phone as perhaps the best ever released to a dangerous joke. I wonder what the long term Note 7 sales will look like going forward.
Things don't have to be one or the other- it is the best phone out right now, IMO. That some of the batteries have a flaw doesn't change that.
If anything, I wish it would serve as a lesson that going with sealed battery on the Note was a crap idea in the first place. Also, however this mistake happened, it sure as hell can't ever happen again. I bet quality control goes up considerably.
Other devices have had similar issues- just I don't recall anyone ever doing a recall on this scale.
