Only true if they have a superior S-LCD driven device, if they have an OLED one they're using a lot of purple'ish

lol.

I will admit that at low brightness on my GS2, the whites were a bit skewed towards the cool end of the temperature scale, but if I cranked the brightness up, it was almost indistinguishable from the SLCD in my old phone, a myTouch 4G Slide, which has awesome bright whites.

And you will never get proper whites from an OLED, how hard is that to understand? you calibrated your phone to have better whites, but they still aren't very good. Just like the blacks on a One X aren't very good. Bottom line, if whites are important to you, you don't touch OLED, if blacks are important to you, you don't touch LCD.

Racist statement...

Funny. You're a known massive Sony fanboy and a rather obnoxious one at that to put it nicely. I am sure it bothers you an awful lot when people say the Xbox 360 is more powerful than the PS3.

SLCD is a Sony technology. That's the only reason you have such a hard on for it. I find it quite amusing just how bothered you get when people either say SAMOLED is better or explain why it is better.

Keep the topic relevant or the mods may lock the thread. I want you to provide proof of what you said earlier.

Do you own and use a smartphone? I guessing no based on your general lack of knowledge on the subject matter.

Yep. I have an HTC Evo for work. I got an iPhone 4S for my birthday, and my wife has an Xperia S. I want to get an Xperia GX next month when it becomes available in Japan but this iPhone is really really, nice. Plus, I live and die by Outlook and it syncs perfectly with it. Can't say the same about the Evo since it just wants to sync with Google's services. But, man, is the iPhone nice. I'm mainly just using it as as a media player but, aside from the screen size, I really love it. It just works I will never touch a Samesong phone so long as it has inferior OLED...

Are you sure you know what white actually looks like? The One X's white point is around 6000k which will give things a reddish tint while the Galaxy Nexus and One S are both right at 6500k like they should be.

I was more impressed with Sense 4 on the One X than I was with TouchWiz on the SGS2s. Haven't touched an SGS3 yet, obviously. Knowing Samsung's build quality and feel, I'm going to say the One X is a much better built device.

It's not exactly a fair comparison since the GS2 was on Gingerbread and Sense 4 is ICS only. That said I actually have found stock ICS to be inferior to Touchwiz 4 in some areas even though it's a newer version of Android. Touchwiz on the GS3 is even better and adds a ton of new features not available in ICS while Sense 4 just adds bloat and broken multitasking while removing the settings toggles from the notification panel.

My "Shamesung" phones have never had a problem syncing Exchange accounts.

I've been trying to pre-order on AT&T. Have 2 months left on my 24 month contract. Whenever I select the SGS3 the price comes in at $299 and doesn't apply the $100 discount they show. Frustrating. Guess I will continue to use my original SGS for another couple of months or until I have the time to actually go into an AT&T store to talk to someone to get it figured out.

I wouldnt call Samsung's build quality bad. It feels cheap but reviews have shown the SGS1 and SGS2 to be very durable. Of course you can argue it's due to the plasticky feel being flexible.

I do like HTC's more solid feel, but I believe they have more build issues than other manufacturers. So in this case I say Samsung might win although the feel of the HTC phone might be better.

Where the hell is this case?? It's listed if you go through the preorder pages on Verizon, but I saw $30 and figured I could get it for half price or less on ebay/amazon. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Looks perfect though if the belt clip easily detaches. Used the Body Glove belt clip cases for my DInc and TBolt and love them, but seems they don't do the belt clip anymore, at least on the Rezound and Nexus.

Wait dammit, zoomed in and it looks like the entire phone slides into the case, which would leave that big bulky case on your belt all day. Can't have that.

I think belt clips must be an American thing. I have never, ever seen anyone wear their phone clipped to their belt.

Do a lot of people wear them like that over there?

Probably not, seem to be getting harder to find. Mostly see people wearing the pouches if they do have one, but then the pouch is on you getting in the way all day. Or the hard fitted plastic holsters, but then the same problem, and also the phone is prone to popping out if you bump something walking by.

Absolutely hate having anything in my pockets, especially a big ass phone. Thing I like about the Body Glove style is the clip and the phone case are separate. So when I take it off the clip, just the small clip is left on my belt which is not noticeable, and my phone is still fully protected in a hard case. Very easy to attach and detach even when sitting down, and it never falls off the clip.

I have a ton in my pockets. Its that, a manbag or not carrying stuff.

I'm going for the stuff your pockets approach.

This does not sync Microsoft Outlook's emails and, more importantly, contacts,

Are you using an exchange account? Or are you syncing a different mail account?

For my gnex and the 10 sg3's I've setup if you've got an exchange account it'll pull the contacts you create in outlook. You may have to go into the settings on the phone and tell it to sync them.

When you create a contact in outlook it's actually stored on the mail server and a local copy on your machine. Your phone will do the same thing. Create an exchange contact and it should appear on your outlook client.

I do this all the time at work. Pm me if you can't get it.

I do the stuff in my pockets thing. For work its gnex (personal), iphone 4s (work), keys, wallet and anything extra I need that day. Usually a usb drive or two. So I look for slacks with large pockets and ones that have a bit of extra room in the hip area.

Our construction guys use them pretty frequently. I think it's the combination of utility and protection they like about it. Usually comes in a very protective case plus they can easily slide out the phone to answer it. They are always taking to someone.

No, only the dorks and the people who want everyone to look at them and their cool smartphone.

The SGS3 fits perfectly into my pocket, even better than the EVO did since it is much thinner.

Here's the case I got and I love it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089F49P0

Well it would. If you can fit your hand in your pocket, you can fit your SGS3 in.

If you can't you need new pockets.

There is a misunderstanding here. I am not talking about a corporate email. I am talking about syncing Outlook 2010's contacts and calendars. There is simply no official way to go about it. Exchange is a different matter but I want to do this for my personal phone.
