Galaxy S4 4.3 update

Just got the update this morning. Doesn't seem all that different. The battery life did seem noticeably better but that could just be because of a reboot.

Anybody notice the prepackaged apps? Are they any good? I noticed that security app especially.

Just updated awhile ago, took forever to download, 719MB. haven't noticed anything major.

Whenever they sort out the massive bugs in their aborted release earlier this week...

Yup. My Galaxy s4 is definitely lagging with the 4.3 update. Scrolling in Chrome is slower, sometimes it doesn't register types and the back button on occasion. The contacts list is buggy especially when typing names in sms. It doesn't look up the name. Fortunately battery life hasn't seem to be significantly impacted. Anyone else seeing these issues?

The update got pulled because it's so buggy. I guess I'm glad I've been on CM10.2 (4.3) for a while now.

Thats insane, 4.2.2 and 4.3 aren't that different. Blame Samsung's TouchWiz crapola. :/

I use a verizon GS4 and noticed that the browser and other apps are much laggier since ive had 4.3. Feels like using my original Motorola Droid again.

I am updating my s3 but am holding off on my s4 until I research it more.

I got my S4 upgraded before it was pulled. Not sure if it's any faster since it was quick to begin with. I've had a few app force closings since the update, but not sure if it's due to 4.3 being buggy or the apps needing an update for 4.3

I'm just waiting for a root method for it now.

Would love to switch to a cleaner android build but i'm stuck with stock since I have Good for Enterprise installed on the machine and they restrict access on rooted machines.

Yeah, I'm pretty certain it's the bloat causing problems since the GPE version has been on 4.3 for a long time now. Then again, the Note 3 is on 4.3 too isn't it? Maybe it's the AT&T bloat.

My N3 runs great and I finished updating the S3 a few hours ago and have not noticed any lag (any more than it had already) or issues. I am still hesitant on updating my S4 tho.
