A wifi transfer to a local file server makes way more sense to me than anything online.
I dunno if it's me, but I find BT file transfers *painfully* slow.
Still, it's cases like these reminds me why I still require an SD slot.
If all else fails, can the mUSB port be fixed? And only wireless charging?
Airdroid.
Yep, wireless charging. What should I use when doing a wifi transfer? I used es file explorer to do it over the network with my nexus 6p and it wouldn't go above 1/MBs. I don't think I could survive transferring 13gigs at 1MB/s.
I've never opened a phone before, is the internal SD card the same as a SD card that goes into a slot? If so, I'd try to pull the internal SD card & transfer it using an adapter.

BT is annoying and unreliable.
She's going to send it back to samsung to get it fixed but we don't want to risk losing data.
I havn't heard back from her ever since I mentioned there will be a charge. Guess it's not my problem anymore.
Thanks this is just useful.
Wifi direct
I'm familiar with network file transfers, I've got a 5ghz wireless N network but my nexus 6p wouldn't go above 1MB/s using es file explorer and that doesn't match up with anandtechs read/write tests. So I'm asking for suggestions on file transfer software.
Wifi File Explorer Pro
First thing I install on a new phone.
ES explorer is poorly written in my experience. Other wifi apps will get far faster speeds.I'm familiar with network file transfers, I've got a 5ghz wireless N network but my nexus 6p wouldn't go above 1MB/s using es file explorer and that doesn't match up with anandtechs read/write tests.
