I hear ya, I already have 2, one from the Note 4 and one from the S7 Edge. Play with it for a bit, collects dust on the shelf. Hopefully this one is more comfy. I wear glasses and have an astigmatism in my right eye that the GearVR doesnt correct so I need to keep on my glasses. Can anyone confirm if we can install VR and its apps to the SD card? I hated having to use the phones internal storage.
No idea about the last one but if the first two are after restarts, then probably intentional. I believe the volume one is a legal requirement in a bunch of markets.unknown sources keeps disabling itself
volume limiter keeps reenabling itself
samsung voice typing keeps reenabling itself...
Samsung bugs all around.

You'll hate it. I got the v20 when I was gonna turn in my note 7. I went back to the note 7 and the v20 is collecting dust. Loving my s8+ tho. Have no issues with it.I went with the LG V20 over the 8+ today. Let's see how it feels after a week.

The screen, imo, is Meh at best. The camera, imo, is mediocre. The quad dac is hit or miss depending on type of headphones. Never got it to work properly.what did you hate about it, it seems nice so far in limited use and it powers my earbuds nicely.
I don't like the stupid non-changeable Bixby button on the 8+ and the Samsung UI

The bixby button is changeable. Not an official feature, but something that doesn't even require root to accomplish. Hope you don't come to regret your decision...I have yet to have a friend buy a 2nd LG phone after their experiences with their first onewhat did you hate about it, it seems nice so far in limited use and it powers my earbuds nicely.

Taking the phone out of the case reminds me of just how thin and sleek this phone really is. Can anyone recommend a slim case that's really easy to throw on and take off just for around the house? I normally use a wallet case for outside so it's super thick.
This looks so...........not manly.Maybe take a look at the Icarercase? I had one for the S7 Edge and like it a lot. Super easy to take off and on and it protects the screen as well. It's lightweight and looks nice too.

LOL. I never thought that about it but maybe I should sharpie a big dong on my case so people aren't wondering.
Got my VR yesterday as well. I can almost wear my glasses in this one. Controller is hit or miss. Still can't lay down and center properly. But, yea, taking the phone out of the case to use the VR made me wish I didn't need a case to begin with.Well regardless of the man-card factor, a case like that isn't simple enough to use as an around-the-house encasement, mostly because of the cover (or the bulk it adds if kept open). I was hoping for a very thin glass-look case or similar. Practicality-wise, I just want a non-slip grip and it being very thin.
On another note, I just got my Gear VR yesterday and I took the phone out of the case once again. The phone is so beautifully thin, I hate having a case on it at all.

I've been having some unusual battery drain since yesterday, can't figure out why. I tried out some process manager that somebody recommended, but I didn't like it and uninstalled it. Not sure if something happened there, or if the timing is just coincidental
I had that several different times on my S7 Edge. I never did log the battery percentage lost and time elapsed so I have no evidence, but I swear it has happened multiple times. It seemed to coincide with app updates via the Play Store, when it did happen, though of course not every app update caused it.
I think if I see it again on my new S8+ I'm gonna log everything carefully to see if it ain't just in my noggin.
