Tough day for me.

The Bros are on fire about Iowa and the app because Hillary and my deplorable friends are on fire about Nancy ripping up the Presidents paper.
So much concern today.
Ugh

If only we could figure out which of those two things was a legitimate grievance.

What will be interesting is if the Dems can't trash Bernie and he wins the nomination. Then those who can't stand him will instantly act as if they always have loved him, or they can vote for Trump.

It is really the big money donors that don’t want Bernie. I suppose two reasons, first it is a push to them lower taxes & chaos with Trump, higher taxes minimal chaos with Bernie.

I like Bernie, I like what he is about. I don’t like how he has yet to outline a plan that would enable him to enact policies he wants. There is no way he will get any of his stuff past any Republican Senator or House member.

Fortunately the app had literally ZERO to do with the actual voting!

Really? They are both absurd.
My Bro friends have rants about the app being developed by a former Clinton worker (see my earlier post) and DNC people are modifying the vote totals.
Pretty out there claims to make.

The CEO of the company that developed the app was a former Clinton staffer and its named Shadow, Inc. Their twitter feed is taking quite the beating. The conspiracy writes itself.

I voted for Sanders in the 2016 primaries and I will likely do so again in the 2020 primaries if he is still in the race. The idea of staying home in the general if Sanders isn't the nominee is self-defeating. We knew how bad Trump would be prior to 2016 just as we knew how bad Bush I and Bush II would be prior to those elections. Folks claiming the other Dem candidates would be just as bad as Trump are being lazy and dishonest.

Every conspiracy writes itself, that’s the nature of conspiracies. When something counters a conspiracies narrative simply include the counter argument to be part of the conspiracy.

I think I'm going to vote Sanders as well, but Mayor Pete is a close second, and I might yet be convinced to give him my primary vote. Come November I intend to vote straight party ticket, only voting for an independent when no Democrat is running against the Republican incumbent.

That doesn’t make any sense either as every candidate has a policy to raise taxes on the rich. If you are a democrat donor, raising taxes on the rich is par for the course.

That rumor was proven false within hours. Will take time to penetrate your conservative bubbles though.

If the past few years have taught us anything, it's "fuck you, we'll just change the rules to get what we want".
I forgot to mention the irony of my fuck your feels friends having hurt feels over Nancy.
You misunderstand, it's "fuck YOUR feelings". Not their feelings, yours.

lol It's not really "rocking". Not bad but not great either. I think economy is a little overrated now with the polarization we have.

It's the same historically long expansion Obama left Trump with that's continued to add jobs. If it's not rocking now, then it wasn't under Obama.
I think the broad electorate will be very happy about v. low unemployment, as well as strong returns in those that have 401ks.

Without a recession, trying to convince peeps the econ sucks is a tall order.

IMO, Ds need to make ppl feel it will be ok to switch. Good times will continue without the lying gas bag, if not even better.

So why do you guys bitch about Bernie Bros who refuse to back the nominee? I've seen this a lot where they think the more moderate liberals will defect even worse.

I'm not so worried about less liberal Dems defecting, but am greatly worried about Independents/mushy middle voters not buying in. 48% vote share won't cut it.

So who? Warren isn't doing as well as Bernie, and Biden face-planted.

IDK yet. Clearly we have no clear winner here, but Boots is looking like a consensus candidate... If he can get some non white voters behind him.

They’re looking at raised taxes more than they’d like and they are faced with a decision to spend money on that guy who by all polling has the lowest chance of success vs the President or do nothing.

Obviously the progressives (Warren & Sanders) have the most ambitious plans. Warren though flirts with both sides indicative that she might back off on some proposals, especially on health care, while the other Democrats are likely to moderate in general or once elected unlike Bernie.

The trend matters more than level, so while the economy may not be bad for Trump, I think Democrats still have a good shot here to take him out.

Bernie does good with Obama-Trump voters. Hell, he gets some Ron Paul supporters. While Biden does well in general election match-ups, I think he'll stick his foot in his mouth, and the Hunter Biden "scandal" sounds like a repeat of Broom Hilda. Liz has less diverse coalition than Bernie. Buttigieg has a ? because of him being gay, and he has a problem with minorities at the present, which might be all reflected in current match-up polls.

I'm saying he should've let Warren take the lead because she doesn't have a cult of personality that will torpedo the nominee if it isn't her.

Trump will eviscerate Warren. Whichever way you look at it, the voting public likes to see politicians dish it out on the stage. Warren's 'but... but' rhetoric is not gonna cut it. We need a fighter to call our Trump for the scum he is on stage and also call out how he paid off prostitutes while married. Shame him in every public encounter and not fall for his bait. I doubt warren is up for it.

I'm willing to accept that some of the Bernie or Bust people had foolishly deluded themselves into thinking Clinton and Trump weren't different enough in 2016. This was of course ludicrous, but sometimes people believe ludicrous things. I thought the same thing in 2000 about Gore and Bush. The difference is I learned my lesson. If after four years of Trump any of these Bernie Bros are still saying they won't vote for the Democratic nominee they are either concern trolls as you say or insane.

I get what you are saying, but the queen of the dem party is doing exactly the opposite of what you wated. why cant she say anything nice about Bernie when he is running. So it's not just the bernuie bros [I hate this term, so binary], but all the Hillary supporters. .

Oh, I'm with you on that! Blue no matter who!

But we have to nominate the most electable candidate, and I just don't think Biden or Warren can survive the loss of all those Bernie Bros in the general. I mean, do you want to beat Trump or not?

....you just agreed that the most electable candidate is the one running opposed to Trump...but then claimed that there are exceptions.

I'm not really interested in the opinion of any of those people that have decided they will only vote for Bernie in the general. Basically: they are fake accounts.

Okay, I won't quote you, but I tried what you said, and the Bernie Bro just said that now he's telling his whole family not to vote for anyone besides Bernie. This is getting worse. Please folks, we need to beat Trump, so vote for Sanders. Now is not the time for purity politics!

uh, "Bernie Bros" are the purist of all the purites in this fucking nonsense paradigm of whom they think is qualified for their vote.
