Game Developers piss me off. Do games make your console decision? POLL

Games will no longer make my console decision. I am just gonna buy a console and buy whatever games came out for it, because it must have some good games. I'm tired of consoles having exclusive deals. I don't care anymore. You either release it on my system or go space yourself.

eh.. I have both the xbox and ps2 and also game on pc. I dont care if some games are exclusive to one console..if its good its good and I'll buy it.

I will most likely get both the xbox360 and PS3 and will continue to upgrade my pc.

I buy them all- handhelds included- so I don't ever have to miss out on a game. Add up all of the cash I'm dropping this gen- say $300 each for the set tops and an average of $200 each for the handhelds- and that's only $1,300- a fraction of what my PC will consume in the first couple of years of this generation.

You could say the games decide what platform I'm going to buy, they all have games so I buy all of them

I buy what I can afford, and what I feel has the best games. I eventually owned both xbox and PS2, but I had the PS2 first.

They make software that is easy to use and is feature rich...

And their first xbox seemed to be a cobbled together P3 system.

Although... I'm of the opinion that a console should just be a PC with 'standard' components... so in that regard the xbox was a step in the right direction.

I've been a PS2 superfan, though - the Final Fantasy games are what pulled me in.

Games make my console decision, no doubt. I bought a GameCube for the Nintendo first-party games. And, I bought a PS2 for Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy. I didn't buy an Xbox because there weren't any games that interested me (yes, even Halo).

The next generation will likely be the same.

Yet most likely you game on a PC running Windows XP...great arguement, you'll shell out 150 for an OEM copy of XP Pro, but you won't shell out 150 for hardware and an OS because you hate microsoft so much.

Your sarcasm meter is broken... Although, I was only half joking, because everything else being equal, I'd be more inclined to buy a PS3. Also, if Linux had as much software and hardware support as Windoze, I'd probably be using it instead.

finally, a post i've been looking for! GAMES! not console fanatism!

i'm much into console games as i'm into the rpgs/adventures etc, that's why i have both ps2 and gamecube but not xbox as too many fps and pc-ish rpgs, i prefer to play kotor on pc rather than console.

consoles ever owned: atari (yes those ancient with giant stick controller), nes, snes, genesis, saturn, ps1, ps2, gamecube
