Game for just driving around?

Just Cause 2 with mods. Just pick a car,truck,tank,boat, plane,motorcycle, etc from the Black market and go.

The original Mafia game actually allows you to fill up your car. The graphics are pretty bad though, and the cars are pretty terrible given that it takes place in the 1930s.

The original Mafia was a nice game to just drive around in though. For it's time the graphics were phenomenal, and listening to the old time music was kinda fun.

You aren't supposed to hit things in real life. In game, it's perfectly fine if you run red lights, do police chases, crash into buildings, smash into busses, etc...

The game you're looking for fits perfect with grand theft auto IV. Many cars, huge city map, just for you to drive around aimlessly. Of course, there are objectives in the game you can do as well.

Yeah. Heck, you can get around very quickly just using the grappling hook.

Yes, the graphics were superb for it's time. I loved that game, played through it a handful of times at least.

Mafia 2 requires that you fill your gas tank, can paint your car, get body work done, customize to some extent, etc...
