Mance Rayder is supposed to have a pregnant wife whom the southerners would consider a "queen" and their potential child as an "heir apparent" even though wildlings don't work that way. And his wife, Dalla, is supposed to have a sister, Val, who is supposed to be one of the hottest hotties in the books. He is also supposed to have 6 "spearwives"
At any rate, wildling culture is very different from the rest, wildling women don't necessarily succumb to rape; they'll fight back and murder their rapist if they don't want it. Ygritte is supposed to have done her fair share of that. A good example of a wildling woman in action is Osha, who is currently running around with Bran and Rickon, and obviously not against seducing northern men and slitting their throats (season 2, ep 6)
I really hope they do go into a little more detail with the wildlings, they have plenty of time at this point... There's also the horn of joramun that needs to be referenced and used as a plot tool.

I wondered that....but in my head, Patchface's singing wasn't melodic, and I'm terrible at picking out words in song. Couldn't tell if I heard the "oh oh oh" like in every phrase of Pathface's verses.
Given the timestamp of the way she sang it, it could easily go unnoticed if you didnt remember the words. I took it as Patchface will not be making an appearance.

This was one of my favorite episodes of the series so far. So many departures from the books, and though they're laying the foreshadowing on extremely thick, I realize it's for the benefit of the folks who haven't read the series.
How about Melisandre visiting Beric & Thoros? Holy WTF moment. That was weird. But it keeps things fresh. I think they must have merged Edric Storm and Gendry's characters for the show.
I am not complaining about the departures - keeps the show fresh for me. But damn, I think I am more confused than I otherwise would be.
I am biting my tongue nearly off about what is coming. LOL at the folks who think this show sucks. They are setting things up so well.
Its people more important than the person in your pic which I assume the tv version will follow the books. The following episodes will have some cracking good scenes...
