this had some great character scenes. I loved the Tywin/Tyrion scene.
Loved Arya kicking butt. I just really enjoy the dialog between good characters/actors. You can't have a top person die by murder every week. Also can't have a war every week.
You have to realize the show is not about good vs evil. It is about characters and the choices they make.

I kind of liked how brutal she was with the stabbing, but at the same time the scene from the books that inspired the kill in this book I liked all the better
because there was no emotion in the kill, it was complete cold blooded assassination as she slits his throat after dropping the coin to dispatch the guard in a demeanor as if it were nothing more than merely opening a door, instead we get a messy stab fest. And to top it off she does it infront of Gendry and Hotpie, which completely freaks them out. But maybe we'll get to see something similar later in another hybridized scene.
Season 1, Episode 8: "The Pointy End", she kills a boy when acquiring Needle after shit goes down with Lannister men trying to seize her during her last water dancing lesson with Syrio Forel.
Although that kill was kind of accidental and also out of self defense, but a kill is a kill.

Storylines i'm enjoying:
All the King's Landing bits
Arya/Hound
Reeds/Bran/Hodor, was nice to hear the rat cook story
Theon/Bastard, although the way they did his sister's rescue op felt like an episode closer but i guess there's no other way to do it.
Jon
Storylines that just seem awkwardly told:
Dany
Stannis
