So, I was playing Rocksmith 2014 yesterday and for some reason the tones quit working correctly (which is prone to happen on occasion). I exit and start it back up only for it to tell me my profile is corrupted.
I think, no worries, most games save in multiple places, plus I have my C: drive where it is installed backed up.
Oh no, Steam(or the game) for some reason saved the game in a completely different drive where the game doesn't even sit, so no back up. Secondly, unlike 90% of other games, it didn't save it in 2 locations (in the users profile). On top of that, Steam cloud saves which I thought would be useful to restore lost saves, are...not used for that at all.
Some consistancy and forethought by devs would be nice. This is annoying as fvck in this era.
