Yup, this is a worthy sequel for Radiant Silvergun. RS costs over $170 on ebay for the Saturn. Ikaruga is a great deal at $20.

Cool, thanx! I love that type of shooter and I've heard good things. I don't think they put out enough shooters like this anymore. R-type was an awesome side shooter.

There is supposed to be a $10 mimimum on all their gift cards (I'm not sure where I read that but I did read that somewhere). They HATE when you do this, but there's nothing they can do about it...it's stupid for them to add a coupon in with a gift certificate.

Just got one for $20 + tax. I've been interested in it, but was a bit reluctant after seeing how difficult it apparently is. Oh well, for $20 it's worth a shot. /pun

IKaruga is simple awesome. Its extremely challenging, and is the same graphically as the dreamcast version. Maybe a little richer, and the music is clearer and sounds awesome. I own both the DC version and the GCube one. Its up there with the great 2D shooters from the sega Genesis and Super Nintendo days. I highly recommend it.

If you own a PS2 as well, just wait until u see R-Type Final come out, its extremely sweet as well. I got the japanese version of that

How do you plan to use the 5 off coupon if you have to pay by credit card online for in-store pickup? I don't see an option for pay in person and the salesperson told me it was 49.99 (not sure if he looked at the computer price or shelf tag).

Yeah it should ring up in-store for $19.99. Have them price check it.

I bought online and went without the $5 off coupon (you can't use the $5 off online) because none of my local BBs have it in stock, and as I mentioned earlier in the thread - I've only seen it at specialty stores (if I've seen it).

No way! SWEET. I wanted this game so bad when I read about it...I planned on heading to BB tomorrow anyway, to buy some DVDs, so hopefully I'll find Ikaruga as well!

Funny that you mention that, becaue it's a 29MB compressed game too. Downloaded it for the DC over a year ago. Sorta good I guess, if you like the repetitive stuff like shotting from a plane and then flipping it over.

this game takes it back to the old school, if you don't like 2d shooters don't bother, but if you do, it is a classic.
