I want to do it very badly, but I live nowhere near a CC. Can someone verify that the $25 GC (that is, Gift Certificate) can be used online?

I am aware that this should be possible, but there is a caveat about the card having a PIN so that it will be useable for online purchases and it would be great if someone who did this deal could verify.

got in on this deal on Sunday in the CC B&M. metroid wasn't out yet so they let me get mario sunshine instead, which was why i wanted a GC anyways. all the rebates/gift cards were instant...some how ended up paying $149 cus they took $25 for the GC and $25 for mario off.

with the coupon and the fact that you actually pay 10$ less for metroid makes it better

CC 149+49-20=178 25$ giftcard+ free game cel (wtf a game cel?)
Tar 149+20-5= 164 20$ giftcard

so even without the coupon the target deal is better pay less out the door..

and you save even more if you use the 10% off when applying for a credit card (not gonna bother)
only questiong is if they will let you do all those at once

You can sort of do this a BB - I did it today, but I had a liberal service rep. You best bet is to just PM CC.

But what I did was first get a BB gift coupon that gives you $5 off a game or accessory. I then Price Matched Metroid to Target at $19.99. So I got Metroid for $14.99.

I bought a Platinum Gamecube, which they were selling at $139.99 automatically to as a competitor match if purchased with Metriod. So I paid $155 + tax today.

I really don't understand how the Gamecube just automatically rung up at $139.99 though. If the guy wanted to be an ass he could said that the $139.99 Gamecube was already a pricematch for buying Metroid and he could have raised the price of Metroid to $29.99. He could have also denied me use of my $5 off coupon.

I got the distinct feeling that BB has some real big sales targets to meet and they are being liberal to meet them. I also get the feeling that Nintendo has reduced the cost of the Gamecube (please correct me if I am wrong) and it seems like a price cut or some really major christmas deal is coming up.

Also check out today's Toys 'R us deal - you have many ways to PM and deal your way into getting what you want. Don't be disheartened - just get your Metroid!

I called circuit city today and asked about this deal. They told me that the current gift card deal is a $30 gift card when you buy the gamecube and any game $29.99 & up. Does anyone know if the $20 rebate is still valid also?

Edit: According to their website, the $20 rebate is no longer valid.
