I just picked my GCN for 84, out the door. There were 3 left. That was at the Margate/Tamarac Walmart in SoFla.

I recently left the Wal-mart in Lawrenceville, GA off of Collins Hill Rd. They had a ton of Gamecubes left. Unfortunately, they didn't have any of the Zelda discs to go with it!!

I was very tempted to buy it though. But, I thought it out and I would end up spending ~$85 on a GC, ~$20 for a memory card, ~ $20 for another controller (or more if I wanted to get the Wavebird), then another $40-$50 for a game. I just can't do that when there are really only two games on the system I want to play (Mario Kart and Viewtiful Joe).

Yeah, the $30 Apex DVD player was the hot item. Gone, literally. When I went to BF at Wal-mart last year they were bringing DVD players in by the cart load in my approximately 30 minutes at the store over an hour and a half after the sale began. This year, the DVD players were gone by 7AM. Which sucked, because I was actually going to buy one as a gift for my brother-in-law this year.

What was funny though was to see the line for layaways. Super long line of people with nothing but TVs and DVDs.

I originally felt similarly, but then I saw that the Zelda collector's discs were going for $40-50 on eBay easily (yeah, yeah, I know, "not for resale"). Considering I can play any of those 4 older games on an emulator (I even still have a system with a Voodoo2 card in it for UltraHLE action), I have little motivation to actually keep that disc. That more than reimburses my cost for the memory card and a second controller. Cost is well worth it for the action my roommates at the apartment and I will get from screaming at each other playing Soul Caliber 2 or Mario Kart.

i slept in this morning...had some lunch, got a haircut...then went over to walmart to pick up some household items around 3pm...checked out the electronics dept. and saw at least 10 gamecube bundles on display. picked one up...great deal at $79.44, especially not having to fight the crowds at 6am.

probably depends on where your store is. there were still 5 or 6 left after the first wave of shoppers when i was there at 6, but they didn't last much longer than that.

Jeez man...i didn't even think to check my GCN Box. It said the Zelda game and disc case were inside the box. Maybe they aren't inside? That would SUCK.

Go to your local walmart, they had 4 on display when i get the on BF. And i overheard an associate say they have 10 -15 in the back. Save yourself 6 in shipping.
