Its very funny that you bring that up because you clearly don't understand why the original Aliens movies mattered. The gender of the protagonist was thematically integral to the plot, mother against mother, narrative built around a woman's "lived experience" of a world, not a feminist insertion.

Compare that to the modern attempts at feminist shoe horning female characters into every property they can infest. You have the Star Wars movies, where nothing is earned, where the mary sue characters are so devoid of any genuine attachment to reality that they could be swapped out with boys and you wouldn't have to change a thing. In your effort to push your "feminist" equality, you have ended up with little more than badly written men in skirts because fundamentally, feminists are unable to understand reality as it is, because to do so they would have to acknowledge gender differences and complexity they'd rather sweep under the rug.
