Maybe I am just mis-remembering. Or maybe I am getting old and my reflexes are not what they used to be... but..
Thinking back to Quake II, Tribes, etc. There was a certain *perfect* smoothness to that gameplay. Even with dialup modems and old netcode, there was something exquisite and elegant about the way hits registered and jumps could be timed...
I just played the newest iteration of Tribes, and it was fun, but definitely did not have that feel.
So.. am I just getting old, or is this real?
