I suppose based on the view that it doesn't load many things, it is a great idea. of course, the fact that many of those things include things like your driver for your video card, and soundcard are not running, I would say it's a pretty bad idea. Unless you like playing Windows Solitare or Hearts. I mean, how many other games look good and are fun to play at 640x480x16? If you are talking about a "slow" of a few frames per second, my advice is to get over it. If you mean a significant slowdown of some kind, you can use mscnfg to remove some things from startup. That or uninstall some things that startup. If they are "unnecessary" then remove them. What are your specs? What software are you running? A little more info and maybe people can help with more suggestions.
