Games that run on 8MB video card?

Hello,

I'm doing a set of benchmarks on a portable device which runs XP but only has an 8MB video card (1Ghz CPU). Can anyone suggest any games from the last few years that would run fine with this video card spec?

I agree with this for the most part. Very few games after Quake 3 would be playable or even viewable.

I played Dues Ex (the original), UT, Quake 2, Starcraft and Warcraft 3 on a rig with 4MB (edit: this should read 8MB) of vid ram.

EDIT: I'm a boob, it's 8MB of vid ram, sorry

No, all but WC3 ran pretty good. It was an onboard Savage S3 chip in a PIII lappie w/ 384 MB ram. OS is WinME. It's what I'm typing on ATM.

Hah, just noticed it has WC3 Frozen Throne loaded on it . So it plays that too.

I've played WCIII with a 8 MB card and it was so ugly I couldn't stand to look at it. Everything was washed out and low res looked to CRAP!! I couldn't stand 4 MB.

Well I screwed up, it's really 8MB of vid ram. But yeah prolly looked like a$$ at the time. I just didn't know any better. My next upgrade included a Ti 4200, wow was that a jump.
