PC gaming on it was pure bliss...

When I moved out I sold him my half of the projector. I am now using a 24 inch 1920x1200 monitor... it is nice, but I can't wait to be able to afford a nice new 1080p projector for another huge screen... I don't know why you would want to play on a low res, small screen, crap monitor.

do you have big rims on your car too? LOL

no, that would be a retarded waste of money.

I don't see any correlation between a 150 inch home theater where you get clear benefits and putting larger rims on your car.

I also don't appreciate the implied insult.

The coolest thing about home theater gaming, is that you can have a person on the screen be "real sized"... at the right zoom level... as if they are really 6 feet tall (but you only see their top part). It makes the game come to life.

I play the majority of my games (DOD:S, Battlefield 1942, Call of Duty 2) on 1280X1024, but I still play Counter-Strike 1.6 on 640X480. I am a hardcore CS player though, so 640 is extremely advantegous because of the larger crosshair.

I don't think games have that much detail designed into them? Do you agree?

With the system I have, playing at 1280x1024, I can run 8xAA 16xAF full everything on any game I have and get 60+ FPS (Bioshock, C&C3, most wanted ~120 fps (locked therei think), i get ~400 fps on cs source)

I need to get crysis and see whats up, but I believe I will be able to run that beautifully at 1280x1024.

If you game at higher resolutions... why?

Is it your monitors default resolution, so you just stay there?

Do you think higher resolutions look better?

far out. i only get 25-30 fps in c&c 3 and thats with 2aa and no af.
what the hell

I have a Samsung 19" LCD with native resolution of 1280 x 1024. I play my games at that resolution. I have toyed with the idea of moving to a 24" LCD, but it would mean I would have to upgrade my video card if I wanted to game at native resolutions. Plus, I still really like my 19" Samsung.
