Smart move. Add the extra 120mm fan for a Push/pull effect. It really helps lower temps. The 8120/8150 throw off a lot of heat so keep that in mind. Good luck.ok thx for the help i will go with the 8120 and hyper 212+ evo
actually i end up getting a noctua DH-14
the cpu was on sale for $150 and the heatsink was $70
Dude, WTF, You spent $200 on a weak gaming cpu, and another $80 on an nhd14??
With $350, you can get a 2500k + z68, which will overclock to 4ghz on STOCK cooling. and it's almost twice as fast in games.
OMG.. dude.. lost for words.
Can you show us Gaming benchmarks with GTX570 at 1080p with AA and AF filters enabled that 2500K is twice as fast than FX8120/8150 ?
i would have gotten a fx 4100 then a phenom II
No cause this guy just wants to up his post count.
That'd have been a decent choice as well

My old rig was a Intel 2500K with a Palit GTX 560 Ti 2GB which achieved 3d mark vantage scores of around 21-22k when overclocked to around 950Mhz.
I then sold my GTX 560Ti and got myself a GTX 295 to have a play and compare, it scored 20-23k depending on overclocks.
Now i am running an AMD FX-8120 on a AsRock Fatality 990fx MB with the GTX 570 and scoring 18924 with a 925Mhz overclock.
As such, we're almost-shockingly left without an AMD CPU to recommend at any price point.
