Gaming laptop Suggestion: 17" ~$2000-2500

I am looking to upgrade from Asus ROG G74S (now 3+ years) - Only use is gaming (a wide variety). Should last trouble free 3-4 years (I have little appetite for trouble shooting so reliability/good components are important).

Things I would like to improve on in next laptop (other than updated GPU/CPU etc.) compared to G74s

Better screen. Resolution 3/4k would be nice but quality of panel is more important.
More portable (but still 17"). (Battery life not important, just easier to travel with)
SSD boot drive (preferably 512GB, at least 128GB)

Would like to have 980M or 970Mx2 for GPU (if SLI works well for general gaming, I have no experience with it).

Things I would like to avoid:
Throttling
Thermal problems (even after couple years of dirt settles on vents)
Wifi connectivity issue (I game via wifi)
Any sort of bloat ware.

Options appear to be: (thanks to notebookcheck)
Gigabyte P37X (thinnest and 980M -- current favourite)
Alienware 17 R2 (my 'perception' is that this is the best quality)
ASUS ROG G751 (this would be most like for like upgrade/ apparently comes with 980M sli)
Aorus X7 Pro (970M sli but worried about thermal performance/throttling)
GS70 Stealth Pro (weakest with a single 970M)

Just received my Alienware 15 and love it. Build quality is excellent, best I've ever had. I have had 0 problems with it and surprising enough the bloatware is minimum. They also had the graphics amplifier on sale for 100 off so I went ahead and picked that up as well. So far its worked flawlessly. I stuck my R9 290 in it that I had left over from my desktop.

I ordered the AW with 980m. Hope to have it by mid May.
