I read the review for the Samsung 915N and the review didn't seem that bad for the World of Warcraft test, which is the main game I play at the moment.

The Samsung 193P didn't look that bad either, anyone know how it runs games like WoW?

Finally what would be your guys opinions on the top gaming LCD?

Thanks,
x

I just got the Hyundai L90D+ for $350

The LCD kicks a$$. Mine arrived with zero dead pixels or stuck ones. And I have not seen any ghosting at all in the games I've played. Picture quality is fantastic, better then my old CRT. This is probably the best budget LCD for its quality. I am reluctant to say budget cause then people will think the quality is not up to par with the rest, but that is incorrect. This is a fantastic LCD and i highly recommend it.

I'm with Stokes. That's what I got and so far it is an awesome panel. Very nice all around. Color reproduction of yellow seems to be a tad off, but I will need to calibrate it.

No stuck or dead pixels and no ghosting.

FYI, the Hyundai uses the Samsung panel, so the two monitors are almost identical.

shud,

Take a look at Tom's the viewsonic is using a b.s. measurement for their 4ms... it is no better than the 8ms VP191b/s.

Dell 2405 FPW if you want to go big. Fast pixel response time, great colors, and very bright. It can be had for $850 if you look for the right coupon code.

Good find. However, the darks are significantly better than on the other 8ms monitors. That has always bothered me and is PROBABLY enough to make me spend an extra $50 or so to get the Viewsonic.

I've heard from several people and I believe in the reviews here at AT said that the dell has slight ghosting problems. Which imo is a big deal when you are a gamer.

Hyundai L90D+ you know you wanna. lol

What dell?

My 2001 has absolutely NO ghosting at all. I just bought a 2405 today for $800+tax, can't wait.

Hands down the dell 2001 though. I'm selling my old one for $500 if you want.. only 4 months old.

Seems like I am finding the L90D+ as being more gaming. I haven't really seen a lot of reviews on the Dell compairing them mainly to games. Seems like that monitor is better for apps and video. Am I wrong?

I don't really know about the apps part. I dont know how much different apps would look or do between the two monitors. I assume it is the same basically. As far as video; I am unsure there too, someone else who has watched a movie on the L90D+ will have to fill in here, haven't gotten that far yet in my build.

No way could I or I bet even the author of this post justify spending almost $250 for an LCD where there difference in the two is pratically none. There is no reason to spend so much on a LCD like the LG.
