Gaming Mouse Recommendations

My last two mice have been higher-end Logitechs. MX and Performance. My Performance mouse's clicker is starting to die, and it's out of warranty.

If money was no object, I'd get a RAT9, but I just can't justify spending that much.

I'm looking at the Logitech G602. It's on sale various places for $59.

I don't really need lots of extra buttons. I've never used any of them on any of my mice. (I've just never got in the habit, and since I have larger hands, they're usually not in easy places for me to reach.)

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hmm.. I just noticed the Performance is going on sale at Staples on Sunday for $50. I'm cool with buying another one at that price. Anyone have anything they want to recommend?

I like my Razer Deathadder. I haven't bothered dealing with Synapse or any of their specific drivers (which I've heard some complaints about). It just works out of the box when plugged in.

Mice are a very personal thing. It all depends on how big or small your hands are, how you hold the mouse, and several other factors. I've also heard good things about Mionix if you're a palm-mouser.

Trying getting a flawless sensor mouse for once perhaps? Something by Zowie, a Razror Deathadder 2013, a Logitech G400s or perhaps a Sensei raw.

Do not get the RAT model of mice, they are awful.

I use this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wirel...logitech+mouse

You can go wired / wireless whenever you want and the battery lasts a good amount of time before needing to charge (10-15hrs of use if I had to guess?). A good number of buttons, and a really useful feature of having profiles. I click a button to change profiles between gaming settings and desktop use settings. You can assign mute / minimize / etc to any button and it's great.

I have 2, one for my laptop and one that stays at my desktop. It goes on sale for $50 throughout the year.

I use a Logitech G700s which I bought shortly after BF4 was released. I'm extremely happy with it. I upgraded from a Logitech G5 which I was also happy with but I wanted more buttons in specific places.

I would contact Logitech before you buy a new mouse. My original G5 was having clicking issues where it wouldn't register 1 out of every 10 clicks. I contacted Logitech and they sent me a new G5. Mine was a long ways out of warranty and they never asked for any purchase infor or anything. They just sent me a replacement that arrived in ~3 days.

I like the Razer Deathadder. I like the shape, it performs perfectly as far as I can tell, and the middle button is very clickable (too stiff a middle click is a problem with lots of mice). Also like that there are matte plastic and rubber-coated options.

Does anyone have a suggested replacement for a VX Revolution? I used it till it was damaged in a burglary

Got an MX to replace it but it isn't nearly as good. I've read the M705 is the replacement but don't know how well it compares to the VX.

Deathadder 2013 for me. I tried the Shogun one, but it was cheaply made. Otherwise I liked it a lot.

deathadder or g400s. or WMO, or IE3, or zowie fk, or abyssus, or anything from ESL.
if you were looking at a rat, maybe you aren't ready to buy a real mouse yet.

There is not a lot of difference in performance between high-end mice. Just go to a store and pick something that feels comfortable.

I happen to find Logitech G5xx particularly comfortable so have been on those for a few generations.

I've had bad luck with Razer, fist one I had was a diamondback and the sensor died, second one was a Deathadder and left mouse click went the way of the dodo, third well you get my point.

Any mouse is a preference thing due to we all have different hand sizes and different ways of using them, personally I got a cheap gaming mouse of ebay and its still going strong ,out lasted all my Razer mice.

I was looking for a new mouse as well, seems my trusty MX 518 buttons have finally worn out.
All the mice I have seen at stores are smaller, and not a good fit for people that have bigger hands, so it is hard to judge the size/feel of a new mouse going by how it looks.

I just purchased the G700 and it is fantastic. Mine you it is wireless but you can make it wired. It even comes with all the stuff needed to do so. You dont even need to plug in wireless adapter. I am more then pleased with my purchase.

Mouse comfort is such a personal thing, you will get 10 recommendations if you ask 10 guys.

I have the two mouse you mentioned, the MX and Performance. I love them both, and I use them at work everyday (CAD) as well for general desktop work. But for gaming, I like my good old original Sidewinder Mouse. What I like about the mouse is the vertical stack up of the large, easy to hit side buttons. Many mice will layout the buttons front to back (horizontal), but vertical stack makes so much more sense when you think about how your thumb rotates. I play mainly FPS games and it really helps when I'm in that panic mode and have to melee someone.

I'm currently using the "old" DeathAdder 3500dpi from some years ago. I think i've been using it for 1-1.5 years now. One of the best mouse i've used so far. Comfortable, responsive and great overall feeling.

I also use the Razer Control medium mousepad which is also awesome.

If I change i'll grab another DeathAdder for sure.
