I have a Deathadder 3.5g, and its nearly perfect. Unfortunately the sides have a really slick finish, so my fingers would loose grip. So I had to use some all sports grip tape, and now its perfect.

Best Buy also has the Logitech G9 laser for $40.

I had the Deathadder for a while too, it's a really nice mouse. I picked up a razer naga because I like to pvp in MMO's and it's fantastic. I like to use it for all of my games now, it's nice even in FPS's I don't have to use the wheel to switch weapons since it has number buttons on the side.

I purchased the Naga when it was released and I love it. I have multiple people tell me they are thinking about it and I tell them to buy it. It is good not just for MMOs.

How are the buttons to use on that? They look like they are in a hard to reach place for FPSs when quick action is required.

I have the Mamba and after a few months of using it I have come to the conclusion it is a massive waste of money. Save yourself $100 or more and go with something else.

See this is why I get close to ordering a Razor mouse and then stop myself. From all the reviews I've read it's hit or miss, they either love them or hate them. I'm wondering if they are essentially like speakers were they 'fit' only certain people's tastes.

I have to think most of the positive reviews are those justifying what they paid, but I honestly believe you can get something just as good or better for ~$100 less. It's not a horrible mouse, it's perfectly adequate, but for the price I paid it should be more than adequate.

I paid $70 for my Razer Naga. At the time of release I couldn't find something that offered more buttons I could comfortably reach. I was hitting the comfort limit on my keyboard and the ease of the thumb buttons were too good to pass up. I have almost every item on my bars keybound now. But then again, I endgame in WoW, so my needs may differ from the "average" PC gamer.

This is the only Razer prodcut I've ever used, but I can say it has been very nice and is of quality build. I cannot speak for the entire lineup, but I can assure you if a lot of easy to reach buttons are needed, and you're right handed, this is a very good mouse.

That's nice, but I was talking about the Mamba, which, at least in these parts, costs closer to $150 all in.

The person you were responding to was talking about Razer mice in general. I probably shouldn't have quoted you. Personally, I think all "gaming" specific peripherals are over priced, but the market has such specific needs you can't really go outside it too far.

Its probably not a worry for most users on this forum. But for extreme low sensitivity gaming, I highly recommend staying away from the newer logitec mice. A port overclocked MX300/500 are the only competitive mice from logitec for extreme low sensitivity gamers. The 3.5g sensors on Razer mice are really good. I just cannot stand how cumbersome they all are compared to older claw grip models.

The Razer copperhead had probably my favorite chassis of all time, but probably the worst sensor out of any gaming mouse ever. If I could find a way to switch the 3.5G sensor into that mouse I would buy a Deathadder to tear apart in a heartbeat.

Bought a Naga about a week ago, need a mouse with more buttons, I love my DeathAdder but just needed more from it

So far, the Naga is ok. It has taken a bit to get use to it, it is a bit smaller then I would really like. The forward/back buttons are horribly positioned IMO. I do like the keypad on it, but only use the first 2 rows (6 buttons) really since the others are a bit too far back for comfort.

It feels great moving around and tracking though, very smooth. I just feel very torn on the whole thing though cause it really should be a little bit bigger. I don't like the extruded part on the right side of it, but that doesn't really bother me much as my hand is large enough to pay no mind to it.

Some of the design decisions seem quite odd to me, especially considering all the other Razer mice I have used, this is by far their smallest mouse yet I'd say. I'm willing to give it another week or two before I make my final decision cause right now I just don't know. Really wish the deathadder and naga had a baby.

Boy, I'm glad this thread is here. My MS mouse has died and I was about to pick up a generic MX310... but went with the MX518 instead, as it's only $43 at Newegg. The G9 looked uncomfortable to hold and a bit too.... ridiculous.

Totally agree with you, I had a deathadder then moved to a naga as well, and I had no idea it would be so much smaller. My hands are kinda big so it was pretty annoying at first, but I'm kind of used to it now. I still hope there is a naga rev.2 that's bigger, but I've been pretty happy using it so far and my hand hasn't been destroyed by using it so that's good.

It's not a gaming mouse specifically but I'm in love with my MX Revolution. Best mouse I've ever used for anything!

I didn't like the shape of the G9.

Intellimouse optical FTW.

uuuh...the G9 has more than one shape. It come with two shells out of the box or one can play with the shells removed.

Three different styles FTW. To date it's the hottest mouse I've ever owned. Liked the copperhead but the G9 feels better and sweat is no longer an issue.

i actually jumped on this deal for the g500. i had a mx510 that lasted me a solid 5 years that died a while back and had been waiting for a decent mouse to go on sale. for $35 you can't go wrong.

just the free scroll mouse wheel alone is worth that.

Yes, I know, I've used both and did not like either. Mouse has no ass, so to speak.

Same here... though I fear my left mouse button is dying. Seems to be doubleclicking at certain times.

Just a fyi, the free scroll wheel is very sensitive. I've found with it set to free, the scroll wheel will change weapons on me without my intention.

Strange mine has been acting up too as of late. I even took mine apart to clean it but it still seems to double click some times. Also it doesn't charge properly unless I put it in JUST the right place in the slot. I've had the thing for about 4 years now but really mice should last longer than that. It's still the best mouse I've ever owned though.

I've sandpapered my contacts down as the metal seems to be corroding or becoming tarnished affecting my charge.

I've also been experiencing intermittent wireless issues too with the mouse not responding as it should with movement or clicks.

Hope it isnt time to look for a new mouse because despite it's worn exterior it is still the best mouse I have ever used for utility and comfort. I fear looking for a new one especially as I require wireless.

Huh thanks for the tip on the contacts. Yeah I've noticed the contacts seem worn but I thought that it was the electroplating wearing off or something.
