And they call it "Ultimate Gaming PC"?

Ha...! This rig has no right to be called ultimate gaming PC, this is more like a cost-wise solution where you get decent performance for not a lot of money. Come on, who the hell puts Athlon 2800, 512 memory, two 2-year old hard-drives and a crappy antec case (helloooou..) together and calls it an ultimate gaming PC? The only good thing about this PC is videocard, almost, yea, almost! top of the line, but this is it.

Oh well... whoever wants to give out your email address to the spammers are welcome to try. IMO the hassle is not worth it.

Maybe not maybe yes. You might not believe it but I actually had my ISP email account spam free for two years, and I do mean spam free - not even ONE spam email for the two whole years. Then something happened and for the last year I've been steadily receiving 5-10 spam letters a week. I dunno how my address got leaked to the spammers, most likely one of my friends used it to send me a yahoo postcard or something. It might have been me, which is possible, but if it was me indeed, I know that I gave my email address only to the reputable websites/companies. So if you don't want any spam on your email account than keep it as safe as you SSN or a credit card #.

If you own a domain, and run a mail server or use DNS like zoneedit, when you sign up or give out an e-mail addy, make it CLGFS_contest@yourdomain.com or contest/companyname@yourdomain.com. Then you know who the offender is and can redirect that addy to a spamcop or junk juno/hotmail box.

I kind of like being informed of contests that are easy to enter so screw the rules... As far as spam mail is concerned, it doesn't take a lot of brains to realize you shouldn't give out your domain email. With several free mail services, theres no point to it.

Sorry to be interrupting all the whining by the hall monitors, but:

Damn, those are some expensive speakers. $500?

Hmm, they got the specs wrong on that rig. The case is an Antec 1080AMG, not 1000AMG.

Let me know when you win, because I'll take that off your hand.

FYI, the Maxtor hard drives are DM9, the latest generation.

I'll let you take it for $100 less than the MSRP which should make it like what... $2900? Deal?

ps didn't see those were maxtors, thought they were WDs. well, I wouldn't want them anyway, out of 4 maxtors from 30 to 120Gb I had 3 failed...

So far, I haven't had any maxtors fail. WD's on the other hand... :disgust:

actually it's the 1000AMG Plus View as stated. The 1080AMG doesn't have a window just bare sheet metal. I actually have the 1080AMG and its really heavy.

If those hard drives are the SATA 80gb drives, they can be had for about $80. And if the CPU is unlocked you can then you can overclock the CPU to gain more performance. They should've added a 8x DVD burner, nice LCD, AMD 64 CPU or the new Intel HT CPUs, 2x 74gb WD Raptor in Raid 0, and a water cooling kit. Now that would be a gaming rig
