Gaming with Quadro K620M

I know this isn't designed for gaming at all, but I bought my laptop (Thinkpad w550s) for other reasons and would like to be able to play games (mostly Guild Wars 2) occasionally anyway.

The problem is that my old laptop (Thinkpad T550 with NVS 5400M) ran GW2 fine at medium to high settings, but my new laptop (with the Quadro K620M) can't get more than 15-20 fps with the settings as low as possible.

This seems weird to me, even if this card isn't really made for gaming. I'm sorry I'm not an expert at this, but is there some way to tweak the drivers or do something else for the K620M to at least be able to get moderate performance when gaming? Or am I basically just screwed as far as that is concerned?

That's what I figured. Do you know what could possibly be going wrong? Whenever I open the game my computer gets really hot and no matter how low I turn the settings I can't get up past 15 fps consistently. Yet on my 5400M i could play medium settings at 40fps smoothly.

I have an i7 processor, an ssd, and 16gb of ram if any of that matters.

My first guess would be that it is using the I7 igp instead of the video card?

I thought this as well, but Nvidia insists that I'm using the right one, and if I specifically request to run it with the intel graphics it actually gets worse. So it does seem like the Nvidia is being used, and it's just no good.

Research online said that it could be because the Quadro is designed for CAD and rendering software and not so much for games, but I have a hard time believing it could be THIS bad.

Just if anyone knows anywhere I could look for answers on this it'd be great.

Don't forget there's a high chance that your lappy will not use the Quadro unless it's plugged in.

I've definitely tried it plugged in...It just seems so weird to me that an old NVS model could work fine and the newer Quadro has it virtually unplayable.
