The only thing about the Nuvi line that bothers me is the internal lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable so you'll have to send the unit back to Garmin to replace the battery. Currently, Garmin charges a $250 fee to do this. Now, I would mainly be using this in my car and one would think that as long as it's plugged into the car's power, it'll work even if the internal battery is dead but I've read one or two reviews where that's not the case. If these folks are correct and the Nuvi won't function on external power if the internal battery is dead then the Nuvi becomes a fairly expensive GPS unit (since li-ion batteries deteriorate with age, you can probably expect to have to replace it in 2-3 years even if you always run on car power).
