Will this display home depot/lowes/walmart type locations in the POI search?

If you purchased new w/ receipt, you will get free map upgrade to 2008.
So it doesn't matter if it shipped w/ older version 8.

you wish..haha...
Garmin come w/ map pre-installed already.
You can extract the old map, but w/out matching serial number from the ROM, it will not be unlocked.
That is why when you install update map on your garmin, you will have to log on to their server. Garmin start their business by providing military navigation, I am sure their engineer should be bit smarter on map protection. ( I haven't know anyone able to crack Garmin's map just yet )

I checked on Garmin site and this looks like Nuvi 350 with a larger screen.
It also has a different type of screen.
Has anyone had both and can compare?

I think this is hot for sure.
But...
I think I prefer the Nuvi 360 over this. The nüvi 360 has Bluetooth, and the 650 does not. I think I prefer the smaller size of the 360 as far as portability goes.
But the 650 is $50 cheaper!
Now I don't know what to do.

Don't worry, Less than 15 hours, with 17,000+ people read the FW post, you would think even 1 out of 10 people just bought one! Costco Inventory is ought to be gone soon anyway.
Because of your posts, I decided to get one. I have no need for a GPS or MP3 player. How and where do I get the updated map? A link possibly?

I actually ordered it before I post the deal at afternoon of Nov. 5. But I still only get "In Process".
Same here...my order says "in process" as well. Just anxious to get it. Thanks for posting this awesome deal.
