How come for once Californians aren't paying the most. Bay Area isn't as expensive now relative to the rest of the nation. I noticed that we used to be like 50 cents above national avg, but now we're like 6 cents above only.

In San Jose, CA, at the cheapest gas stop I know (World Gas), gas just JUMPED from $2.85 to $3.19 for premium!!

here it's gone from 2.45/gal right before katrina to 3.09/gal for the cheap stuff

and i think it's just gonna get worse

i am sittin on one of the bigeest oil provices in canada and one of the largest in north america and I pay fraking 4.60 per gallon.

Funny thing is that the prices wont come down unless the govm't intervenes...the oil/gas companies are making assloads of cash!!!

Now that it's over $3 I doubt it will ever get cheaper. It is $3.20 right now. WOW! But as I've said before, it still doesn't affect me that much. Now the biggest consequence is that I will probably be traveling home less on weekends since it'll cost over $30 to get there and back. Otherwise, this town is so small that EVERYONE walks or bikes to campus and downtown and whatnot, even with the harshest winters I'll still walk.

I really don't think it'll hover around these prices once things are back in normal operation (hopefully). It was actually holding relatively steady for a bit before this happened.

$2.59 on Tuesday, to $2.99 on Wednesday, to $3.09 today here in central KY. Ironically, I work next to a bicycle shop, which is right next to a gas station, and on the other side of our shop is a huge ass car lot. I can't quote word for word what the bicycle shop put up on their marquee today, but it was pretty funny. Something about $4 gas, OUCH!. I so wish that I lived near enough to work to ride a bike .

A guy from the car lot next door came in today to order some stuff, and was telling me that the gas station next door was running out of gas. Not sure if I believe him or not, but they take all of their cars over to that gas station for gas, so they have a pretty good relationship with them.

yea same here.
teh cheap gas station here was 3.59/gal
while Exxon and Hess were 3.19 for Super.

Cheapo gas is not so cheap anymore.
it was like 2.60couple days back.
I'm just not gonna drive until the prices come down.
