I can't see them shutting down for weeks, but I can see a few days. The pipeline is pumping at around 25% capacity right now, so gas will start trickling in by the weekend, but probably not enough for the demand with people traveling and wanting to fill up on lower prices.

Can anyone give me an estimate in western PA? I'm stuck on campus sheltered from the real world.
The prices will go back down once the fuel lines are reestablished, correct?

and shes making the drive in a jeep grand cherokee :/
I used to work at a gas station, and this basically not possible. You'd have to empty the tank and then fill it up immediately with the regular. Plus, the super and ultra grades are in MUCH smaller tanks. They're less than 1/4th the size of the regular tank each (less than half together). It wouldn't be worth the trouble.Originally posted by: Insane3D
Just filled up @ the local Mobil with 93, it was 3.14 at one, but when I got there they had signs saying special and super were "out of order"...and it's a brand new gas station. I'm guessing they are using their special and super tanks for regular figuring on a rush?
