Telepath is Gateway's own brand name for their modems. But I haven't seen that used in quite some time. Current modem is a Conexant unit.

this is more than enough for all my real needs, ie: programing, html, documentation.
and a little less than a year ago I could keep up with all the games

so I see very little need for 1.4ghz. But yes 350 is a bit old and I would like to upgade especially if it is a HOT DEAL, so let me know if the p3-850 drop in price.

actually the p4 puts the smackdown on other processors when code is optimized for SSE2 and the p4

I caught the tail end of the promo, interesting to note that the systems wont be shipping untill Dec. 1. And that they had only 400 total to sell.



I work for Gateway..the Video card is ATI's Hot Ray-Dee_on and it 32megs And you can order it from the gateway store..There hot right now!

kenny g, you are right about the raedon that was my goof. im not at work today so i didnt think about the specs too much. however for the rest of yas, i havent seen gateway use 3com modems in sometime. it is a rockwell chipset lately as someone else previously mentioned. I would believe that to be true.

I work at Best Buy and all of our P4's were recalled today. I hope Gateway has a good customer service department to handle of the QVC customers.

Everyone has got to get together for one weekend (not in physical location) and phone up QVC and HSN and ask them really technical questions for the day. I'd like to see how that show goes on...

You know what I love is that those speakers are the same as the one that came with m p3 500 over a year ago, video card not that much better. same soundcard, same modem,Good monitor though.
