Well, some customer service places are like that. I personal work CS, although it's for a much larger company than any of these I believe. We actually support like 13,000 vendors. We are open 24/7, and usual answer calls within about a minute or two of you calling. Pretty much I'm only writing this, is to not act like a prick to the person you talk to. If people are prickish to me, I'll generally brush them off more. Don't assume that it is the company's fault (although it certainly could be), just act plesant nice, tell them what the problem is, don't launch into a lot of crap, and you should be able to get whatever the representative can do for you. If they can't do what you want, ask politely to speak to a supervisor, normally they are more than willing to pass you on. And if you are polite about it, everyone wins. I guess in short, don't be pissy, act like a caring respectful person, becuase that is what the person on the other end is trying to treat you like.
