Gateway/necx canceling recent Visiontek 4400/4600 orders without notification, check your orders

I haven't installed my card (Ti4400) yet, but from the looks of it, the board design is the original design - with the big capacitors that were causing trouble on the Epox boards. The Ti4600 I bought at CompUSA to hedge the time being is the updated design with the low-profile caps.

I should have it up and running by Tuesday. I'll let you all know the good (or bad) word.

So I just called to check, hoping that I will even receive something today, since I am in NY and some of the guys around here have been getting them from the NJ warehouse.

The lady checks, and tells me "about 2 weeks"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her story is that the manufacturer missed a few shipment days (YEAH RIGHT), and the NJ warehouse seems to be out, so they "moved" me to another warehouse where they have a backlog of 60 orders but expect a shipment of about 80 in the next two weeks. YEAH HAA!

It'll prob. be Christmas before I see that card!

I just called to check the status of my order and the CSR told me that the next shipment won't be until Mid-April!! The video card is the only thing holding up my new machine so I just went ahead and ordered a Gainward TI200 from Newegg.

I'll probably let my Gateway order stand and move the Gainward TI200 to my wife's machine and give my GF2MX to her little brother. He is still running a Voodoo 3 in the machine I cobbled together for him

I just got off the phone with Gateway and got the tracking number for this shipment... it was shipped out of NJ on Thursday along with all of the other ones that went out... supposedly left than 100 made it in the initial shipment. Guess I was one of the lucky ones. Hang in there guys, now that Visiontek is cranking these out I'm sure it's just a couple more weeks before they catch up!

@rgowen No this time they did not charge me CA sales tax. Before my total was $254 or so and now it shows $234.95 for ti4400. I just logged in and it says "Product Shipped". So I expect to reach an orgasmic state Tue or Wed. My order # is xxxx97011. So maybe close to 1,000 shipped perhaps? I remember somewhere in this thread someone mentioned they had (Gateway) 1,400 orders for Geforce4 cards.

Ok after 15 mins or so on hold they gave me a UPS tracking number. I won't get it till the 28th Thursday. Guess my orgasm will have to wait till then.
Looks like they shipped it steamboat going out across the Mississippi and Colorado River. 7 freakin days....whoooaaa

this is AWESOME. NO tax this time. I guess good things come to those who wait. If I went into Frys, BestBuy or Compusa I'd pay $299.99 + 7.75% tax = $22.50 for a total of $322.49. So by waiting a month I saved $87.54 so yeah I say it was worth it.

Ironically, I emailed seeking reorder prior to March 13th and did not get a reply until March 19th. Of course, I was impatient and had already reordered by phone on March 13th. I am glad I did not wait until the 19th now. At least there might be someone after me in line.

I dont think i got my reinstatement straightened out untill about the 13th. I reinstated by email. then they used my maxed out credic card (very low limit left over from college)
and so I had to call and have em put it on another card.

over at HardOCP we pooled our knowlege and determined that the ship date for the next (and hoppefull last) order will be in some random april date.

CSR have quoted ETAs of the 5th, 8th, 1st week, and 2nd week of april.

For the people who have received their Ti 4400s, how do you like them? Is the 2d image quality good? How far can you overclock them? I should be getting mine tomorrow and I'm very curious how they overclock. I wish there were some reviews on the Visiontek Ti 4400. Oh, and if you could shoot me some benchmark scores like 3dmark2001se or Quake 3 demo scores. Thanks.

Not really interested in overclocking it... it's practically the fastest vid card out there (accept for 4600)... why burn it up? Run it stock for 6 months then o/c it when the newer models come out.

got my 4400 yesterday and plopped it in , 3dmark2001se is 5970, seems it should much higher with a kt7raid, 900 athlon tbird, 320meg pc133, card was set at 1x agp so I dnlded the newest via 4and1 drivers and then it shows as agp 4x , not much difference in score though...
order # 7011 march,7 reinstated order, please post some 3dmark 2001se scores and your setup, madonion is the place to get benchmark software free....

I just checked for an update and Gateway gave me a ship date of 4-11. I originally ordered on 2-23 and then re-ordered on 3-13. My re-order number is xxxxx43011, so if they're going in sequential order, I should have had mine by now.
