I have a $918 quote under my own name but it includes the GW Webstore trial instead of AOL. Has anyone been able to alter the quote so that the order includes one year AOL not Webstore? Is this something a rep can do?

Is anyone having trouble with getting four channel sound through the Soundblaster Live that comes with this unit? I have the Logitech Z560's and I'm only getting 2 speakers to read. I have 4 speakers selected using Audio HQ and when I run the test all I get is: Front Left, Front Right. Is there a reason the rear speakers aren't registering?

Sorry, my itchy finger hit send before I had pasted the text below:

Use AudioHQ utility. It's included in Sound Blaster installation. Turn on
Mixer, open Environment Deck (click on "spiral" picture) and set up your
rear speakers. I spent 3 days for finding out this function! Creative makes
very "friendly" and "clear" interface

HerrHarry: I've been using Audio HQ without success thus far. Not sure if I know what you mean by spiral picture but I clicked on speakers in Audio HQ and select 4 speaker option. The test and music I've played only register Right Front and Left Front. I am open to all suggestions.

Go to Google, Groups and do a search for something like 'soundblaster live value rear speakers'. There's a lot of info on the news groups on what you can get with the SoundBlaster Live Value card and what you can't. There are posts by others who are having a problem with the same test you are. From the limited amount that I read, it's much easier to get surround sound with a DVD and it is possible to get surround with games and such if you set it up correctly.

I'm now noticing that DVD sound is through all 4 speakers and certain CD's. Not sure why that is though. The test option provided through Audio HQ only acknowledges Front Left and Right speakers not the rears???????????????

problem finally solved guys. It was a combination of things. MD3 was engaged. Audio input connection was loose and a few other stupid mistakes. Sometimes you really can't see the forest through the trees! Thanks for all the help!

I just purchased a PC and was quoted a specific price. I
was later told (I wasn't actually told you just charged me it) a pricing
mistake had occurred and that I would be charged a $140 "monitor
adjustment" fee. I accepted this, but I'm now upset because others that
purchased the exact same PC did not get charged this. I think this is
completely unfair and am going to file a complaint with the BBB.

(378309) and then try and tell me what happen (i.e. the $140 dollar
difference in the monitor discount). I was told that somehow the
monitor
was priced wrong originally. I can live with that. But the fact is

I was curious to see the documentation of the components in my 700x. I called tech support and they do not document this (except by their meaningless part numbers). What you have to do is go to Esupport on the GW website. There will be a window called My System Information. You enter your serial number and voila. Some useful information. The first thing it says is Processsor 850 Lexington & P4-478 2.0Ghz NW. From an earlier thread I gather this is a really good chip set.

I am receiving the Gateway tomorrow it was shipped and my pending Charge has drop off and i received no kind of email or letter. The only emails i received were the first conformation and the next one with a order #. I didn't even receive a shipping notice i just went to the site and put my order number in. This whole thing is so odd.
