"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people," Hardaway said while a guest on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket in Miami. "I'm homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."

The host asked Hardaway how he would interact with a gay teammate.

"First of all, I wouldn't want him on my team. And second of all, if he was on my team, I would, you know, really distance myself from him because, uh, I don't think that is right. I don't think he should be in the locker room while we are in the locker room."

If he did find out that a teammate was gay, Hardaway said he would ask for the player to be removed from the team

-----------------------------------------
Hardaway has reportedly been removed from further league-related appearances.

"It is inappropriate for him to be representing us given the disparity between his views and ours," NBA commissioner David Stern said in a statement to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Anyone know if this guy is Republican or Democrat?

The party with the most known racists and bigots using an ass for their symbol.

Now, using a stereotype I would say he is not only an ass but supports the party which is represented by one.
Do you have a link or something showing where he is a Democrat?

Do you have proof Democrats have the most known racists and bigots?

Well, affirmative action IS racism, favoring one race over another, and selecting people based on the color of their skin.

However, we all know the south is stereotyped for being nothing but racist rednecks.

I would say it crosses party lines, no need to play partisan hack on this unless you intentionally want to drive people away.

Can you prove otherwise? Can't stand when the shoe is on the other foot can ya? Especially when you are always taking that foot out your mouth or ass.

Republicans don't have a former KKK grand puba as a high ranking Congressman do they?

Also, Hardaway is black, and around 90% of blacks are Democrats, so the odds are he is a Democrat, or at least grew up as one or around them.

But he is rich, rich tend to be Republican.

What are the odds now?

I expect Americans to be Americans not hateful discriminatory dolts that can't learn faster than a turtle climbing Mt St Helens.

How bout we turn the clock back and re-enslave blacks and take away women's right to vote.
______________

how about you show the same amount of "righteous indignation" towards the Edwards Bloggers who spewed their venom as you are against Hardaway? Free speech, right? He's retired. If he wasn't, he'd be getting pressured by the NBA Commissioner to make a formal apology., Then he'd have to do counseling, just like the Grey's Anatomy star for his F-Word remark at a co-star.

Hey Americans have learned well from Republicans the last 7 years.

We should re-enslave blacks and take away women's right to vote, it's only fair.

Why is it OK for Republicans to hate Gays all these years?

Where's :moon:Moonbeam? We need his definition of Homophobe. A person whose self-hate of their own :shocked:Gay tendencies, spills out upon other :roll:Gay people. Hiding so deep in the closet, they won't admit the :musicossibility of a door?

I say drop the "specials" married people get. Put everyone on a level playing field

Under the eyes of the law everyone should be treated equally. By giving married couples special priveleges and then not allowing certain groups to marry, the government is effectively treating one group worse. Gay people don't want special treatment, they want equal treatment. I personally would settle for allowing civil unions that give all the same equal legal status so that the bigoted religious can keep their term.

Everyone does have the same rights. I can marry the same people that everyone else can marry.

I've lost count how many times I've rebutted this illogical BS.

Please read and remember the answer to we can not repeat it.

It's discrimination to say that two gays cannot marry. You are missing the equality issue; it's not in everyone having the same law, but in everyone being able to marry the person for their sexual orientation. A good way to make the point clear is with an analgoy to race and marriage.

Imagine if we said, as we have previously, that interracial couples cannot marry. Is that discrimination? No, because they have the same right as everyone else to marry someone of the same race, according to your logic. But it's wrong; it's discriminating against those people who want to marry someone of a different race.

The legitimate question is whether the discrimination is justified, not whether it's discrimination. 5 year olds marrying have a reason to ban it; race, gays, don't.

Actually I was kinda referring not to being married or not.
What about marrage tax deduction or number of dependants? or having the ability to make choices for your partner during times of crisis (like hospital)?

ummm isn't the list of the richest people in the congress dominated by Democrats?
In order
Kerry
Kohl
Rockefeller
Jane Harman
BTW this list isn't very good since it only includes personal wealth, it lists Pelosi at $14.25 million, but her husband is worth maybe $100 million.
In 2002 9 out of the 12 richest in the senate were Democrats.
Also in 2002 political donars giving a million dollars or more went 12-1 to the Democrats, $36 million to Democrats, $3 million to Republicans.

BTW aren't you rich and a Democrat?

How can people still be arguing over gay marriage? It's a pretty simple argument. omg no they can't marry that defiles the sanctity of marriage christianity blah blah, vs. omg that's horrible love is universal everyone should be able to marry a person they choose and get equal rights garnered by marriage, regardless of what it's called.

Did I miss something?

Anyways, the first argument is retarded so I hope I did miss something. Who the fvck cares what you think about gay people, you're not affected by 2 guy's having amazing sex and marrying and getting some swell rights, are you? I mean, that's silly. I hate tall women, they shouldn't be allowed to marry short men. That's wrong. And gross to think about. We should ban tall women and short men. So I don't have to think about it. They can't marry because it's icky. So gross, I mean... weird. So disgusting. Ugh. I'm feeling sick.

...I suck at spelling this late. zorry.

Hollywood, entertainment, and politicians do more damage to the idea of marriage than gay couples. Though I think gay couples should be allowed to use the term civil unions which afford the same right as marriage without using the same word.

End the IRS.

Go to a national sales tax.

Institute National Healthcare

Write Lock Solid Wills.

Change visitation laws for hospitals.

Have advanced directives.

Then there would be no "legal" reason for getting married.

I wonder about this sometimes. Where is the real problem? Is it the fact that gays are denied civil unions, or that certain rights are only connected to civil unions. For instance, insurance. This is an honest question because I don't know the answer, but would like to. Is it the governments fault that insurance isn't offered to them because they don't have a civil union, or the insurances fault because they're only willing to accept civil unions? I don't know if the government has some control or anything over what the insurance companies will or won't acknowledge.

I think there are several rights that are obviously being denied them, but I wonder if a large amount of their fight should be with people other than the government. Please feel free to correct anything as I don't have a full understanding of a lot of things. I'll be honest and say I don't support gay marriage, but I think it's a crock of crap that they are denied things such as insurance and power of attorney.
