I swear i seen this story posted here a few weeks ago. I can't find it. Anyway a gay waitress claims a family wrote a nasty letter saying they don't agree with her lifestyle so they refused to tip. She then posted it everywhere and it got national attention.

Real or fake, she just showed the world an easy way to make a quick few thousand dollars in sympathy donations.

Maybe it was a prank by a co-worker printing out a second copy of the check. Whomever finalized the credit card transaction is the guilty person, restaurant management simply needs to find either who's employee login was used to make the transaction, or seek the security cam footage at that time.

There was a similar case by me but it involved some dude writing ni**er on the receipt. So the black waitress goes to the news stations and says instead of a tip she got a nasty note. Just looking at her picture you can tell she had an attitude. But the patron said WTF??? and hired handwriting experts and such and I believe they are now suing the restaurant. This waitress got like $10,000 in donations.

Hope the restaurant refunds the couple's money and deducts it out of her paycheck.

I smelled something funny about this story from day one, I found it odd that someone would go out of their way to write that on a receipt. They simply would leave the restaurant if they didn't like the server or if they realized half way thru the meal they simply wouldn't leave a tip at all.
