I am sorry but no. This is Israel's fault for not trying to work out peaceful resolutions and bombing the shit out of civilian areas that needed to be avoided. In addition, this whole "they sided with Hamas so they don't get civilian status" is utter bullshit. Way to go on dehumanizing these people.
Except, Hamas is hiding in those civilian areas. Store weapons in a church, school, or hospital? It no longer is a non military target. Sorry, we don't allow that shit to fly. When one side continues to hide behind the civilians they are fighting "for", civilians will die. Yes, it sucks, but the alternative is to allow Hamas to continue to act, unchecked.
And, since this can be avoided, please point out on a map where these military Hamas targets are. I'm sure Israel would love that information, so they can bomb those instead of houses and neighborhoods.
