Anyway, the way to make it best is to boil raw kielbasa for 45 minutes - 1 hour, let it cool, then slice it and bake it for another hour in a baking pan w/ 2 cups of water. Eat with spicy mustard or (my favorite) ketchup mixed with a dab of fresh horseradish.

Eat with some kapusta (sweet and sour cabbage), some golumpki (cabbage rolls), and maybe even some Potica (coffee cake). I made this two Sundays ago....hooo hooo hohoooooooo man

Try being Italian and having to see what passes for "Italian Food" here

Know what's funny, though? All my Italian relatives LOVE pizza hut. Go figure.

how well does it clean up, from the pics looks like the grease bakes on to the glass there from using the rotisserie part so much, maybe it just hasn't been cleaned lately... just asking because my wife is picky about having stuff on the counter that can't be cleaned to look 'new'.

I will be honest you need to soak the spit rod and acc plus the drip pan. If you soak it all comes out like new. My wife is the same way and what you see on the door it nothing but juice that has shot off the bird. Wipes up no problem. I am serious about the juice that you get from the meat. If its rotating or just sitting every piece of meat we have cooked has come out so juicy the plate will get filled up

But dont take my work on it. Buy it and a roast/rotate chicken and see for yourself. Walmart will take it back if you do not like it

How good is this for cooking steaks like Ribeye? Can you stick in 12" Iron skillet?

Steak is to rich for my blood but I would have to say like everything I have stuck in this thing it should come out better then you have ever had it. It is 12 1/4" wide and 10 1/4" deep if that helps you at all.

I picked one of these up for a Xmas present today. It looks like a very solid unit for the price. The only problem was all 3 that walmart had on the shelf had opened/banged up boxes. I opened it up and the one I got looked good except for the torn box, the packaging was in good condition and all the acc. were there, so I bought it.

I'll let you know how I like it some time after the 25th.

I personally will not buy G E again. I bought a two pack of their cordless phones. Within 45 days the phones failed. Best buy would not stand behind them so I contacted GE you know 1 yr warranty. They said oh wel that doesn't apply to the battery charger on the unit. Seriously so I am stuck with 90 bucks worth of junk. I will not use them again due to this.

Hey stock you really want to try something? Try a roast pork or beef and rotate it. Put alittle EVVO on it and some spices for a hour and a half and well if you havent looked see the pictures up top I took one. If you like a little fat a beef roast or slab with a little fat on it and your in heaven!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I bought this for someone for Christmas and they really like it. I do have a question for the OP or anyone else that has it.

Are the bottom 'cooking rods' as I call them (probably incorrectly) supposed to light up as much as the top. I saw while making toast the top rods fully lit, but the bottom ones barely. I tried just switching to different modes, and didn't notice them lighting up quickly. I just want to make sure there isn't a problem, and I couldn't find anything in the manual or online. Thanks.

No its all good. Thats how mine is and after more use they will kick on more or will notice them being on more. Also not in some setting they dont come on at all. And dont lay anything ontop of them while lit. Like foil and what not. It will damage it by overheating the rods.

Heating elements.

I think the ones at the bottom don't get fully lit because they're usually closer to the food (toast) and the ones at the top are farther so they need to get hotter to have the same effect. I believe in the bake mode the bottoms ones should be lit, and in broil and rotisserie modes the tops should light. Toast, of course, should light both, though as noted, they may not be equally hot.
