first i couldn't believe that gamespot gave it 9.6 not because i am Console Shooter hater but the editor that reviewed the game ain't a FPS fanboy (halo hater too) and he is known to give low score , i really thought it would Greg K to review the game since he review all major FPS/RPG. So a 9.6 from him means something.

Started to play the game and it isn't a FPS (No Halo here ) but a 3rd person Shooter / Platformer. It really feels like a platformer ;( and feels so much different to all the shooter i played. Also Graphic wise its look supper amazing and it better than any PC game i have played so far. It isn't the highest res game and some frame rate issue in Cute scenes , could do with 8x AA ;(. But art work and level are pure awesome .

No but I wouldn't put it past MS and Epic to make it a Vista exclusive, Games for Windows title before the next big thing comes out for the 360 (Halo 3) to milk GoW for all its worth.

I don't think you can "run and gun" in this game. Its all about cover gameplay ala Rainbow Six (and games of that ilk) though I'm sure its more simplistic.

"Run & Gun" is my middle name. Love it! Run and gun is relaxing. Solving ridiculous game puzzles...not so much.

This may sound like a weird question, but is the game actually available today? I always have so much trouble going to pick up games from places like EB Games, because sometimes the game ships to them the day it's released and they won't have it until the next day or sometimes they have it beforehand. I just don't want to waste the time going to the store and finding out they won't have it... and umm I don't own a phone .

Have a 360. Thinking about this game. Everyone says its so amazing, but I just dont know, the trailers didnt seem all that special. I will have to take a look at the reviews.

Actually, that's the one thing you can't do. That will result in a very, very quick death (think 1-2 seconds).

I am enjoying it so far. It's... different. I don't see the game becoming a Live staple for years to come, but it is no doubt worth my money.

If I'd call it one thing, it's "hectic." For a stop-and-pop game, you don't get much of a breather until you kill every last enemy in your vicinity.

Looks like the breath of relief 360 owners have been waiting for. Makes the console purchase worthwile for many who thought otherwise before.

Nah 360 had loads of good games ;( .. like Dead rising , PGR 3 , Graw (which was a different version to PC one) , Rock star Table Tennis , Cromohound (Online team work made that game supper fun) , Spinter Cell Double Agent , Saint Row , Oblivion (if you don't have a supper awesome PC to run it) and all the cool xbox live arcade game.

Anyways next up Blue dragon , Forza 2 , Lost planet , Crack down , Lost odyssey , Mass effect , Ninja Gaiden 2 , Eternal Sonata , Halo 3 , Burnout 5 , GTA 4 , Alan wake , Darkness , Bio Shock. so a good 06 to 07

I'll admit that while I thought the game looked visually stunning I figured the game play would be too...simple. Run and gun. But after reading a few reviews I'm starting to be convinced otherwise.

Graphically it looks just about as good as the UT2007 pics I've seen so far. Debating between buying a Wii (for Zelda!) or an X360 now.

Its not a FPS :! totally different than Halo , Half life , Doom and UT. Also these type of Cross hybrid Platformer and thrid person shooter do really well on console.
