I'd consider the DVD player to be a moot point considering 99% of people already have a DVD player. The PC media connectivity I also find to be an extra I'll never use. MOST of the 360's games I've seen so far seem uninteresting (although GoW looks fantastique, and CoD 3 looks promising)
I was reading my old roommate's PC magazine (they still get delivered to my apartment even though he moved to TX ) yesterday and they were comparing the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Something I didn't know was the difference in max resolution:
Wii: 480p
Xbox 360: 720p
PS3: 1080p
Also, the Wii can't play DVD movies, only games. The Xbox 360's new "HD DVD" will not let you play HD DVD games (so don't expect that) only movies. Once you add that $200 player though (which is technically a good price for an HD DVD player) it's costing you just as much as the gruntier PS3 (which will have Blue Ray games).
They say the PS3's online functions are no where near as refined and "grandiose" as Microsoft's XBL.
