theres boxes that have halo 2, gears of war, age of empires 3 and its expansion, and i cant really make out the other game.

Its a picture of those Games for Windwos kiosks they'll be setting up all over the coutnry when Vista launches. All the games besides Gears are confirmed for PC, so I was curious as to why it would be in there, plus it has the Games for Windows bar on top like all the new pc games coming out. BTW, I found this in the latest PC gamer.

Your an goon ;( Why not buy Dead Rising , Rockstar Table tennis , Saint Row and GRAW . Also so many exclusive games coming out next Q1 2007. Lost planet , Forza 2 , Viva Pinata, Mass effect , Blue dragon , Darkness , Army of two , Kindom Under Fire , Crack down.

So many others you can look foward too like Assassin Creed , Resident Evil 5 , Golden Axe , Ethernal Sonata , Lost Odyssey , Halo 3 , Halo War , Splinter Cell 5 , Alan Wake , Bioshock and craploads more.

Also loads of cool arcade you can try out like geometry war wars , mutant storm , mortal combat 3 , contra , cloning cilde.

I think your an idiot buying a console without doing a little bit of research , Alot of good games out , you just haven't played them since you don't know about it.

Actually I have played dead rising, table tennis, saint's row, graw, and lost planet demo. none of them really got me interested in the xbox 360.

To tell you the truth your the 1st i have heard who didn't like dead rising ;*( ... its my fav XBOX 360 game , i only wished campcom didn't screw up the save system which made it get not so awesome review.

Yes, late 2007 its supposed to come out for the PC i have heard. It will take a long time to port over from the console.
I cant imagine the rig needed to run all those shaders

GoW runs the U3 engine, so it *shoudn't* be that bad of a port

Yeah, I saw the demo for UE3 years ago and the models they were using were GoW models (although I figured they were models for a future UT game, I was wrong).

you do realize that the gamer PC eclipsed the 360 before it came out right?

heck the 8800GTX eclipsed the PS3 by Nv's own words and that the PS3 hasn't hit the shelves yet.

The only game that would tempt me to buy a 360 is Mass Effect, which is exclusive to the 360. Even then, I'd buy used and probably turn around and sell it after I thoroughly finished the game.

This would be a stupid move on epic part, if they keep it exclusive then they can get over 6million copies sales by 2008 and make a huge franchise but if they port to pc early then it will not sell well and totally become an average cross-platform title. I would only know one reason that title getting ported over because i know Mark Rein wasn't so happy that Gears of War got so much praise and from the latest interview , Mark wasn't that enthusiastic about updating the game multiplayer issues and kept telling interviewer that it was a single focused game and that online was just an extra. Cliffy B on the other hand wanted Gears of War to be huge franchise but Mark Rein gets the says on this.

Also is epic wanting to destroy their relationship with Microsoft since this title was so heavily promoted (100millions + spent of promotion) to being an icon for XBOX franchise. Microsoft would be pissed if it goes t o PC by 07 because 2 years exclusively is needed to make it in a huge franchise.

Well if it was a single player focused game, they could have made it a *little* bit longer. don't get me wrong, I love the game, but it can be beaten VERY quickly.

If anything it is mainly an online game with a fun, short single player

You're forgetting that MS has two platforms to promote for gaming - The 360 and Windows Vista.

There's a reason that MS is promoting XNA and its ability to easily translate games from Windows to the 360 and vice versa.

+1, I'd think that they'd be pushing for a PC port for a Vista exclusive game that a large number of people desired, and I'd think that in the grand scheme of things Vista would take prescidence over Xbox 360 simply due to the larger market and potential proffit.

It's going to take alot to coax people away from their safe haven of Windows XP, having a game like GoW might help.
