I would be very leary of a 600W PSU that is on sale for $16.99, regular price $19.50. A quality PSU (that doesn't necessarily mean expensive) is at the top of my priority list of parts worth spending a little money on. Depending on your power needs, you'd be much better off going with a lower watt PSU from a quality manufacturer like Silverstone, FSP, Enhance, etc. Not trying to be critical or anything but I'd hate to see your new parts go up in smoke or have you fight weird quirks because of a dumpy PSU.

I like the Spy Camera Lighter and TV Capture Card, but both were cheap to start with. Now they are couple bucks less, but still. I wish I had some sample shots from the camera, I might have bought one.

What he said. I'd add Seasonic, PCP&C, Fortran, and Zippy to that list...

Yeah I don't think I'd trust a quality system with that PSU. I want one for making a spray booth and fan system for my worktable. The solder fan I was looking at was like $33; this way I can use some of my spare 120mm fans

What he said, except I'd spell leery correctly.
Generally, the cheap PSUs are less consistent than the well known brands and their QC can often be suspect. OTOH, I've got a cheapo A-Power 450W PS that I bought from them last year and it's worked fine. It was a little weak across the rails so I treated it like it was a 300-350W PS. I would, in fact, suggest that you downgrade whatever wattage they advertise it at. I would also suggest that you pick up one of the PS testers that they sell as well (they're pretty cheap) and just test your PS before you plug it in if you're really concerned about frying your system.

Or of course you could just buy a quality PSU up front and avoid all such complications

Well, I pulled the trigger on the TV Tuner/Capture Card. Will get back on its performance later.

I used to buy from the geeks long ago. But after a couple bad items (one was a PSU), I decided the geeks are right up there with tiger direct and buy.com on my "never" list

Mine showed up today. The gold is bling It's actually pretty quiet, and really, really lightweight. Doesn't feel like there's anything in there. I stuck a wire in the motherboard connector and jumped it for using it with a couple 120mm spare fans I had - easy & cheap fan blower for soldering! The electronics shop wanted $32 for a similar blower fan lol.
