Geforce 2 GTS question

I recently purchased a Visiontek Geforce 2 GTS for my secondary rig. I haven't played any games on it yet, but I am a bit skeptical. Why am I skeptical is due to the fact that my rig has a Pentium 3 "Katmai" @ 500MHz. I have the old pentium 3 core so i don't think I will see a noticeable improvement over an MX. If anyone has a Pentium 3 "katmai" and a geforce 2 gts plz tell me how your gaming performance is.
What would be even better is if someone tells me I'm just crazy and I should go to sleep.

well I'm tending to think that you will see a bit of a speed increase over the mx but I don't think it will be too earth shattering..... if that helps any

That depends on what game you are playing, detail levels, and screen resolution. But, all settings aside I'm thinking performance increase will be negligable.

I had in my secondary ring a GTS and a P3 450@500 (now it is a celeron 1GHZ) and it did run games acceptible, granted not at 1600*1200 but it did work and i can still play new games just fine. I just have to turn down some things. i get plenty more than 20PFS don't worry. Even Giants ran (most of the time) acceptible.
