Hey all -- getting a new system and here is the specs:
AMD XP 1800+
Abit KR7A-RAID
512MB OCZ Enhanced RAM
2x WDC Caviar 30GB 7200RPM ATA/100
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Sound
Intel NIC
CompUSA 300w PSU (I know, but with my old system the 5v rail was at 4.85 which is OK (?))
My question is this:
I have a GeForce 2 Ultra right now and I am wondering if I should go ahead and get a GeForce 3 Ti 500. Money is not an issue as it is a gift, but if I don't get the card then I could get the money for a next generation card, like the NV25 that is rumored to have "free" anti-aliasing.
What would you do? Take the 300-400 bills and wait and bear it out with a GeForce 2 Ultra or go ahead and get the GeForce 3 Ti 500? The 64-tap anisotropy and Quincunx look sooo good... Im just mistified! Looks way better than my GF2 Ultra, that's for sure! Anyways, your opinions are welcome!
AND NO ATI FANBOYS! Haha
